I pulled up the comforter and found Sprocket. She had buried herself under the comforter to seek refuge from the commotion, and in an unexpectedly neat way.
"On assignment for Look magazine to photograph the movie star for its twenty-fifth anniversary cover, Douglas Kirkland shot Marilyn in the intimate confines of an unmade bed."
Tenth and last in a series of ten pictures by Douglas Kirkland, staff photographer for LOOK magazine, of Marilyn Monroe in 1961, a year before her death.

my favorite shot from my '8am photoshoot' ahah. i still can't believe i was up and out at that time!!
the light leak was added on with a gradient in photoshop by the way, this was shot on digital. :) (although give or take a week i'll be shooting on film, woohoo!!)
thank you emma-kavan! for the testimonial, much much appreciated!
oh, ps. i have a tumblr!
Yeah, I know, zigzag is nearly the same word, but the pronunciation... *sigh* Z being the softest is the english alphabet, whereas Z is the harshest in german. So for all you foreigen people, it's a
Tzikk Tzakk Rover
like the 'tz' in Blitz, with a bit of an oohmph.
Again the boring backdrop of my bedsheet, because this bloody thing is too big to take it outddors. The seed part of this are the ancient zigzag windowframes used as legs.
If you're wondering why Pete is not smiling - he never is.
Last letter of the Alphabet. Has been fun, and a very different Febrovery experience because I had to plan ahead, at least for the names, as the alphabet isn't CCCSSSRRRRRRY or something like that. On the other hand I was never stressed from "I need a rover for tomorrow!!!" - that didn't happen. They were ready long in advance, which actually is a bit boring.

Secret #4 : I'm really really angry in the morning, haha. Definitely not a morning person.
The Westboro Baptist Church should go to Mars.
19—8 a.m. bedsheets
Wrinkled, unmade sheets at the foot of our bed after we got up on a dark and stormy morning. For me an empty bed is a big victory as it takes a tremendous amount of energy and work just to get out of bed each day.

Last night you were in my room
And now my bedsheets smell like you
Every day discovering something brand new
I’m in love with your body
~ Ed Sheeran
My bedsheets are ablaze
I've screamed his name
Building up like waves
Crashing over my grave
Without ever touching his skin
How can I be guilty as sin?
186/366: I missed the deadline for 4th July POTD by two minutes (this was taken at 00:02 on 5/7/2016). Ironic, given the lengths I've been to to prove the date and timestamp on some of my tardily-uploaded photos.
I couldn't believe I'd missed it. I almost gave up the POTD at this point because I'd been 17 minutes late with a previous POTD and so now with another miss, I thought I'd be asked to leave the group.
But although I'm a bit haphazard with the whole thing (processing, commenting, uploading etc), I really enjoy the POTD and the camera club friend who'd originally suggested I join in, said it'd be fine for me to continue. Thank you, Jacqui Dracup :-) www.flickr.com/photos/67930556@N02

I think I'm becoming a conspiracy theorist
Everyone says that love exists
But I think that it's a myth
Closed the curtains, cried all Thursday night to your lyrics
All I'll need to reminisce
Empty the bottle and get pissed
'Cause I know it all comes rushing back like this
Girl, you know I want your love
Your love was handmade for somebody like me
Come on now, follow my lead
I may be crazy, don't mind me
Say, boy, let's not talk too much
Grab on my waist and put that body on me
Come on now, follow my lead
Come, come on now, follow my lead
I'm in love with the shape of you
We push and pull like a magnet do
Although my heart is falling too
I'm in love with your body
And last night you were in my room
And now my bedsheets smell like you
Every day discovering something brand new
I'm in love with your body

little star
how i wonder
what you are
=)
uploading a picture early today cause I might not be online much today. this actually wasn't even my idea. my little brother found my yellow star i cut out and picked it up and said "really sis? paper stars?" and i was like "shush, it was for a picture" and so he suggest i tape them onto my...uhh *ahem* makeshift backdrop made from a bedsheet so I did. After snapping some fun photos of him, I decided to snap a couple of myself.
I'm still feeling magical today =)
One more for Monochrome Bokeh Thursday - a very tight crop of a cosmos flower backlit by the sunshine. Reminds me of being a kid and burying my face in billowing white bedsheets hanging on the washing line.
On this morning's walk I saw Mr Peanut, Mr Beagle, and I was chased by tiny dinosaurs. One of the dinosaurs kept handing me fallen leaves. Each time I said "Thank you", he repeatedly responded "NO, Thank YOUUUUU!"

I have always been intrigued by the concept of waiting. We experience it more often than we may think. The time between a phone's ringing, the anticipation of an impending guest; these moments invite our curiosity to collude with our imaginations, hoping somehow to determine an outcome that satisfies our desires.

A couple of shots from last nights mission to a woodland just off the Snake Pass in the Peak District with Chris T.
I took the white bedsheets out with me as I wanted to replicate a shot from my 366 project but in camera instead of photoshop.
Cheers to Chris for his help and patience once more. I had a really enjoyable night out without any pressure to get a shot I was happy with for a 365.
Backlit white bedsheet to kick things off using the 50mm. Pop of flash and lens swap for the Tokina @11mm. Swapped tripods and took up position for the woodland silhouette.
I'm pretty chuffed with this but Chris took an absolute peach of a shot.
Raw conversion with a crop. sooc.
Great times.
I love this series. I had some great natural light coming out of my window and took full advantage of it. No diffuse glow in any of these if you can believe that.

57/365
So many things to do yet so little time. Might go on a short hiatus since its hell week and everybody is getting serious. Didn't you notice that some of my pictures were taken in this bedsheet, heheh.
Hope I can finish my Project 365! *cross fingers*
this is what i do at 12 in the morning.
model is bethanie.
this isn't my room, although i wish it were!
i set up a bed sheet and christmas lights in my study room above a couch.

All the beds in the hotel are big four-posters with copious mosquito nets. There's no A/C, so if you're me, you sleep naked on top of the bedsheet. And if you're me, you wake before dawn.
While on the subject of beds, does anyone remember Bernard Cribbins?
[Summerset accent]
'Twas on a Monday mornin'-o, the rain it was a rainin',
My love she come to me and said,
"Oh, when shall you and I be wed,
For I have bought a double bed,
And mother is complainin'",
[spoken: "I can't aboide her mother".]
And all the while the rain it was a rainin'.
'Twas on a Tuesday mornin'-o,
the snow it lay a-glistenin'
My love still hadn't gone away,
So Oi did ask her, "Mistress, pray,
What was it you said yesterday?
I really wasn't listenin'",
[spoken: "Oi laughed. She 'it me "]
And all the while the snow it lay a-glistenin'.
'Twas on a Wednesday mornin'-o,
the hail it was a-hailin',
My love, she made a quick retort,
And said "To cut a story short,
I've bought a bed - the double sort,
You hearin' must be failin'",
[spoken: "Oi heard that all right, though"]
And all the while the hail it was a-hailin'.
'Twas on the Thursday mornin'-o,
the day was not a hot one,
Oi said "Oi thought that's what you said,
That you 'ave bought a double bed,
You must be goin' off your head,
For I've already got one".
[spoken: "Got two now, en't oi?"]
And all the while the day was not a hot one.
'Twas on a Froiday mornin'-o,
[spoken: "…nobody spoke!"]
'Twas on a Sat'rday mornin'-o,
The thunder it was froight'nin',
Oi shouted so that Oi'd be heard,
"Oh let us marry on the third",
But she did answer? Not a word,
For she'd been struck by loightnin',
[whistle-explosion]
And after that the weather started brightening.
[spoken: "Oi went fishin'. Oi caught four.
One of them was a lovely great fat feller…
Lovely, 'ee was."]

She's helping me change the bedsheets :-)
She LOVES it, but sometimes it can take a good fifteen minutes to get the job done :-D
Not sure about the results though, perhaps too much processing, but while doing it I learned a few things, so still worthy it.
