I took this shot a couple of hours ago going out in the balcony at my sister's place: it's a sunny sunday and I feel happy to be italian and to be in Italy.
I know, is going to be VERY hard to rebuild this country economically, financially and especially morally, but the globalization put us all on the same boat. It's up to us not to transform it in a Titanic!
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYBODY!!!!
Pinhole camera "Arkliukas" ("Little Horse" in Lithuanian). Named it so, as when I used it for the first time I used a 120 film 6x9 Horseman back on it.
It's just a Sinar rear standard with a lens board adapted to take different pin holes. The holes are magnetic, interchangeable, I made a whole set of them and I'm using them also in my 8x10 camera (d.i.y. called "Meoda", but that's another story).
Right now I prefer using the Grafmatic 45 back as it takes 6 4x5 films, because that makes less stuff to carry for a hike. Often I just go jogging with it in a hand, you never know when a good photo might come. Some of the photos that I show in Flickr were made during the jogging. In this configuration it's a very wide-angle camera. I can reduce it using the bellows and another standard, attaching the standards together with a hexagonal rod.
To make the camera unique I use a (broken) very unique "2013 Lithuanian presidency of the Council of the European Union" key-chain belt to carry it. So that makes it a unique camera as I don't think it's very easy to get a used "2013 Lithuanian presidency of the Council of the European Union" key-chain belt, and then have an idea to use it for a pinhole camera.

Allison was a great sport and was able to get up on her toes in the very worn shoes. She was very apprehensive at first. Her legs "look awful!"
I didn't think so...

I did some cleaning today. But can I do anything without the cat? No. No, I cannot.
bad day today.
sigh, i'm feeling so uninspired lately. school's taking over my life.
i'm losing it ... :( i see so many people on flickr who are so talented.
it makes me want to give up because i feel they are like TEN times better than me.
but at the same time, it inspires me to do better.

so, i told my mom about youtube yesterday. she is so insanely amused and fascinated, it's hilarious. hahhah! she was listening to josh groban for 2 hours trying to learn the song and writing down the lyrics, playing it over and over again. i love how technologically challenged she is. ♥
yay, friday tomorrow.
i'll be spending my whole day studying for my math SAT II. wee!
I'm so sorry I've been so absent on flickr. I have little/no motivation to take pictures. I don't know why. BUT I'm starting a summery project with Ellie! Basically we're making a book filled with photos, concepts- a summer journal of photos, words, and inspiration. At the end of the summer, we're going to send each other the books (hers from England, mine from the USA). Sure, I might not be able to see her, but the project makes me happy. I'm gonna try to take pictures after I'm not sick anymore.
