What an amazing quote by our dear profit (apostle at the time). How true this statement is. The closer our focus comes to Christ, the greater shall be our joy. Since I have started this blog, my focus has been more and more centered on Christ and my joy has proportionally been heightened. The other amazing thing is as we focus more and more on Christ, the things of the world lose its power and grip upon us. Aahlyn's Miracle
I have wanted to share my daughter, Ashlyn's, miracle for a while now. I have shared it with a few family members, but I feel it can help others and so now I would like to share it on my blog.
Previous to this miracle, we had been praying to know what to do to help Ashlyn be happier. This was our little girl who in her baby blessing, I had felt inspired to bless her with charity. She is the sweetest girl and our little mommy, but somewhere along the way she changed and without too much detail, she became mean and very cranky.

I do wish that heaven had visiting hours. If it did, who would you go visit, possibly a child that left you too early, or a loved one, or would you get in line to visit our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and our Father in Heaven? I think that it is imperative for us to realize that we do not have to wait. Our children and loved ones are serving us continuously, we may not see them but they are there and helping us more than we can imagine. Joseph Smith has spoken on several occasions about how we should seek to have our calling and elections made sure, and he further taught that that means that the Savior will appear unto us and even the Father will make His abode with us from time to time.

Thanks to my preparations for this lesson, I now have a heightened awareness of what impact my ministering and shepherding efforts can really have on each soul. I now visulize the Savior (door through which we all must go into to have Eternal life), calling out to who I am Ministering to, and that person’s head come up in recognition of His voice, and then go running to Him. The embrace that takes place is breath taking, and to think that I had some small role to play in that blessed reunion, brings tears to my eyes. I will never just casually ask, what would the Savior do? I will see this vision and it will stir within me a greater desire minister with power and great love.
We understand that a true shepherd loves his sheep, knows each one by name, and “has personal interest in” them.
