The flower of this climbing wild bean plant is so small you could easily miss its beauty. The camera really brings out its delicate petals and colors.

WIKIPEDIA: Cloud Gate, a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Anish Kapoor, is the centerpiece of the AT&T Plaza in Millennium Park within the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. The sculpture and AT&T Plaza are located on top of Park Grill, between the Chase Promenade and McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink. Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed The Bean because of its legume-like shape. Made up of 168 stainless steel plates together, its highly polished exterior has no visible seams. The pods are consumed by using one's teeth to squeeze the beans out of the pod. The pod itself is discarded.
Nice fingerfood. Or even a whole meal, if your name is Posh Beckham. Haha.
I remember I couldn't stop eating these when we were having dinner on this boat in Shanghai. Later my colleague told me her mother could make even better soybeans. Preserved in alcohol, I think she said. But when I asked her later, she never did come up with the recipe. I guess I have to google again. Maybe I will find some interesting recipe this time. Anyway, in the meanwhile, the above is quite nice too!

Queso Beans (muted calico) has taken over Kiwi Fruit’s (lynx point) favorite daytime sleeping spot… the 1994 MLB baseball comforter we thrifted last year. After I laundered it I laid it on the bed with the sheets/pillow cases/bed skirt, fully intent to move it to the project pile to deconstruct and make a summer time baseball set to wear. Kiwi promptly claimed it and it has been a staple of the “end of bed” bed making routine ever since. Today I sat it down in the wrong spot and Queso took that as her cue to steal home.
Beans are great, and if you have not had your new year soup yet go out and by a bag of nine bean soup, and a hambone or not and some onion and spices and you will have one great dish.
If you don't like beans you can just open the sack and make a lovely display. They reminds me of marbles and sea shells at the beach. Heck you can even play pocker with them and bet the beans instead of money. When you cook them up they will fill your house with a great aroma and you will not get gas eating them this way. So your full of beans in this case that is a good thing. Cheers.

My original intentions were to do a color image but the more I looked at the photo I thought this could make a cool B&W along with a little bit of color selection on the faded out can of beans. This is a 7 exp HDR done using Photomatix, Photoshop, Topaz, and Nik SilverEfex.
