Taken at Bean Hollow in Pescadero California. Starting to get used to the Sony A7r. Won't be giving up the 5D any time soon.
I made Baked Beans to go with our Easter ham. Not your run-of-the-mill baked beans. Three types of beans, bacon, onion, bell pepper, pineappple, and bourbon among other things. You can find the recipe here: www.steffaniskitchen.com/recipepage.php?vRecipeID=698 .
Its not HDR. I used a 3 stop GND Filter with Inbuilt Flash fired. f/11, 1/4S. I had sharpened the image with FastStone Image Viewer.
The Place : This is Bean Hollow Beach on HW-1 (Geo tagged). There are a number of accessible beaches on HW-1. The Sky was cloudy around the sunset time. At this place there was waves from 2 opposite directions.

Getting the crops in have changed a lot since my young days growing up on a farm! The one thing that has stayed the same is the dust the harvest will generate. As you can see the individuals working the harvest are well protected, climate controlled, nice sound system. The days will still be long and the headlights will come on before these farmers get in for the night.

This is really a great convenience for a photographer taking photos on the CAR doors windows, BIRD HIDE, fence post or on the floor, rocks & tree stumps, great for Travels and Tours. Photos are with a Canon 500 lens.
very pleased with these, it's the maiden picking from our 'hestia' beans, it's the first time we've grown them and I've got enough for five bags each with enough for two people in each bag and there are loads of little new ones still coming too!
We'll definitely get them again, we had them for tea and they taste yummy!!

Bean Day
It seems, as obscure as it is, Bean Day is not without it's controversy. Some say Bean Day is not until April, Some claim it to be January 6th. But at least one source has it squarely on the 5th. So as I move down the road with my This Day in History/Calendar Event project it seemed appropriate to bring to your attention the celebration of Bean Day. Now Go eat your vegtables! :P

The sample of various beans collected from a wholesale shop in Malacca. Glad to say I know how to cook with each and everyone of them.. though beans are not my favourite food.
I like the Chinese name given to these beans, from left to right: 绿豆，白豆，大红豆，红豆，黄豆 which literally mean green bean, white bean, big red bean, red bean and yellow bean. The proper name in the same order is mung bean (green), black-eyed pea, azuki bean, kidney bean (the big one) and soybean.
