Caviar anyone? Just kidding. That's not caviar. It's starfish! Sigh. Really, it's the start of my long national basketweave beading nightmare.
As for the rest of the day, it was the kind that called for getting take-out pizza from the OP (how exotic!) because everyone was too exhausted for anything else.

Although this is a mainly black and white polymer clay cabochon, once again created by Julz, it has some subtle flecks of colour in it. To not overpower the colour I kept to monochrome shades and added a tiny splash of colour round the edge.

I just finish this beading work this morning at 3am. Lucky my darling keep me company by watching armagaddon last nite. The customer just gave me 3 days to complete this with extra 2 beading work on the front flower motive. With a good cooperation from my ninja little hafiz and a great big help from my darling i manage to finish it on time. Thanks my love.

Seedy challenge for the Australian Beading Form. Inspired by Mary Hettmansperger's book "Fabulous Woven Jewelry" I have used a freeform approach to Circular knotting with a variety of seed beads and craft wire.
18th March 2011 - 365 day 77. Today was a very wet day in Sussex - pretty cold too - as shown here with beads of rain on the roof of my car.
As part of the "Think You're Unique" beading challenge on Etsy, I was sent a package with these beads, and had to make earrings. Not my usual style, that's for sure! Still, I like these dangles, finished with antiqued brass wire and hooks. Kind of an ethnic/natural look.
Hand rolled in the village of Ndejje by Mzuribeads cooperative. Strips of recycled paper are cut into triangles, and rolled tighlty around a needle. The beads are then hung up and varnished for a waterproof and glossy finish. No paint involved, the colours are determined on the specific pages selected.
