15 sec long exposure as a T-Storm rolled out to sea. Got lucky. Vantage point was a 3rd floor balcony from our hotel. No, I don't know what those people were doing with the flashlight but it's cool looking!

Olas en la playa de torre del mar

Skegness. When tweaking the levels in Photoshop I decided I quite liked this overblown look.

When a pile of stones is a turtle. It is on a beach where turtles struggle up to lay in the Spring, and the hatchlings scurry seawards in September.

The light and clouds were really coming together this morning. I need to come back and explore a little more down the beach.

Only a few of the once plentiful Ochre Sea Stars are left at Cannon Beach (and elsewhere up and down the West Coast). Some disease is killing them off. They used to blanket the rocks and tide pools. Now only handfuls remain, especially of those beautiful little orange guys.

Rockaway Beach

Lying on a beach in 90-something degree weather with no clouds overhead and no umbrella to hide under made me feel like I was on another planet where everyone dies by BAKING TO DEATH.

She's back in school and studying for a test tonight. I like the light here straight out of the camera. the caption should read; Why are we going back to Calgary?

Hermosa Beach, July 2011

Pre-construction. Blue tape on floor to the right and on the 1/2 wall to the left is about where the new wall/beam/post/whatever things will be. The sunlight up there is amazing (although this shot doesn't show that) so I don't want to break up the light-flow with solid walls, but I would, however, like to have a room with walls...hmmm, what to do? They may start construction on the beam part of the project before I'm sure I know what to do with the rest.
