Date unknown, but judging from the road vehicles believed to be late 1960s.
Yarmouth Beach was the eastern terminus of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway and was closed, along with most of the rest of this system, in 1959. The old railway terminus was converted into a coach and car park, as seen here, but the station building remained in place for many years afterwards.

The beach by Vinje on Gimsøy has a magnificent view, from right to left, to Austvågøy, Hadsel and Bø.
Another beach walk last evening -a different beach this time.
It was the lovely light on the sand that originally caught my eye here.
The fence is there to help protect the dunes.
I don't know what Flickr does to the colour of photos but I have replaced this with a slightly tweaked version which looks much better than the original one I uploaded.

Sunset arrived late in the Hebrides, being so far north, so we were able to go for a stroll on the beach after our evening meal and catch the last light of day. This was taken with the 7-14, wide angle lens. Some more shots below taken with the 14-140, the last 2 on a different evening and one showing some wreckage on the beach.
