Beach at Hawker's Cove. This is the River Camel in North Cornwall.

A couple of new beach huts,they haven't been painted yet by their owners, lit cost about £50 a year as one of the owners told me.
They are on Nefyn beach.

This sandy beach in Silver City, Michigan is covered in smooth colorful pebbles, as shown in this low angle photo. Upper Michigan has miles of beautiful shoreline along Lake Superior, which is one of the five Great Lakes in the USA. The Upper Peninsula (The UP) landscape is known for beautiful sunsets and wildlife, though this sunset and flock of birds are composites. It was so cool to see Haystack Rock on Cannon Beach in Oregon. The thin layer of water on the sand created these beautiful reflections, and with the slight hills on the beach, the reflection became striped, which I thought was neat. The sky was so blue... it truly was a perfect day.

The focus for much of my recent family holiday in Cornwall was surfing lessons for the kids on Polzeath Beach, just a short car ride away from the Airbnb cottage we were all staying in.
I like this shot as it has a stack of the various layers of landscape there ...
This was back in October. There are so many rocks of all shapes and sizes along Oregon beaches, but not very many have trees growing on them. This almost qualifies as a mini island.

I went to the Belgian coast for a few days with Annelies . We had a lot of sunny sweaty fun and we walked miles and miles to see the Beaufort 04 artworks. On our way we took hundreds of beach cabin pics...:-))
This picture was taken at Berriedale Beach which is on the Scottish north east coast. The beach is a pebble beach.
Tioman Island is a mukim and an island in Rompin District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located 32 kilometres (20 miles) off the east coast of mainland Malaysia and is some 39 kilometres (24 miles) long and 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) wide. It has seven villages, the largest and most populous being Kampung Tekek on the central western coast. The densely forested island is sparsely inhabited and is surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a popular scuba diving, snorkelling and surfing spot. The marine area around Tioman Island and eight other nearby islands have been declared as marine parks and marine reserves. In the 1970s, TIME Magazine selected Tioman as one of the world's most beautiful islands.
After seeing some photos of Kingston Beach recently on Flickr I decided to head back there as it had been a while since my last visit. As is usual with this location at low tide, the very steep banks of the beach (when i was at the waters edge taking this the top of the beach must have been 30 feet above me) exposing sunsets is nigh on impossible until the sun starts setting more North West later in the year. Realising this i decided to try something completely different and decided to make the wonderdully steep pebbly beach the real content of the photograph, rather than a more generic coastal sunset. I used by 10 stopper and ended up with an exposure of 4 mins. Halfway through the exposure the sun peeped out from behind a cloud and bathed the pebbles in wonderfully warm sidelight..
Most beaches in New Jersey require you to pay to go on them during the summer. Which means they have places for you to pay, and they give you a pass which you use to get on to the beach. Beaches are free in the off season.

Today's story and sketch "by me", is a tale that if it weren't true, you woudn't think it possible that three travelers "Kaguvians" from the Planet Rynochi, could become lost on a California Beach, actually Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. The Kaguvians it seems were in route to the Frumi Moon Resort in a borrowed galaxy glider, they found in a parking lot that was left running by the owner who wasn't around. None of this story would be interesting if any of young Kaguvians had ever taken celestial navigation in school. because that night the three decided to go on vacation to Frumi, a place they had heard was popular with Kaguvian college girls. Frumi is a waterless completely barren low cost vacation spot, a popular destination for many of the Beaked Beasts from the Aves Constellation. Frumi has warm sunny days with daytime temperatures that average one hundred forty degrees, which is also the nightime temperature, but it's a very dry heat, because the only liquids are the beer and bottled water sold at the Hostels or what guests remember to bring on any return visit. The glider got completly lost but made it to Earth, landed five miles out in the Pacific Ocean and sank, the boys swam to shore and made a help sign out of Palm fronds. The sign was spotted by a "USCG" United States Coast Guard patrol helicopter, who wanted no part of dealing with Beaked Beasts, they called the Man Cave's intergalactic rescue line, and as you can see JB and Rescue Randy above about to rescue the three. JB will leave Randy the most interesting living tissue crash test dummy in the Cosmos, also a great deep sea diver, Randy will to swim out and salvage the glider, he and JB will restore it for the Man Cave glider fleet. The usual beach art on the banks of the Thames at low tide.
I was unlucky to be passing by when the beach was crowded . . . probably because this was the first warm night in weeks. (Actually there seemed to be a lot of summer parties on the banks of the Thames this evening.)
This is a 4 second exposure but I have exposed the foreground with flash at -1EV.
