A well posed seal on Horsey beach.

“But you, Israel, my servant,

Jacob, whom I have chosen,

you descendants of Abraham my friend,

I took you from the ends of the earth,

from its farthest corners I called you.

I said, ‘You are my servant’;

I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

[Isaiah 41:8-10 NIV]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

I was amazed to encounter an empty beach after a very full summer.

A very hot early afternoon on the beach. The water was refreshing but the heat was miserable.

A little stream onto the beach at Lynemouth.

We hiked behind Castle Hill on the Crane Estate and walked over to the beach. I was trying out my new Big Stopper filter and wanted to get some rocks in the tide. It was unseasonably warm, but you still get cold standing still waiting for a 60 second exposure. This is the sky opposite the sunset. I edited this one in color, but then ended up liking the black and white version slightly better.

More Norfolk fun this time from the beach.

Day 3 12 months ago in the Iceland redux...

This was our first visit to the Ice lagoon and diamond beach at Jokulsarlon. It was a bright sunny day with lots of people milling around. We had been watching the webcam from here in the weeks running up to the trip. It was a little surreal being in the place you had envisaged for such a long time. It was great fun tho waving at the camera with loved ones back in the UK watching on....

It was a troublesome day for me tho. We were in the middle of a pretty stressful house move. Solicitors and conveyancers had dragged their arses for too long! Our vendor had threatened numerous times to pull the plug to put the top hat on it all!

Anyway, I'd received a call from wifey earlier in the day saying we had been advised due to the threat of lockdown we had to move in 3 days or it wasn't happening. I still had 5 days left in Iceland!! So, I spent most of the day and the evening sorting out the utility companies etc..because they would not speak to anyone else apart from the bill payer, ME!

So whilst I was enjoying myself in Iceland with fantastic scenery, stupidly expensive meals and hot tubs under the stars, she was busy disconnecting the washing machine and emptying the loft!!

All credit to her she pulled it off. Albeit she is still dining out on it now! So, I left home in Cheshire, never returned and arrived at my new home in Staffordshire 8 days later.

Squeaky bum time in Keflavik airport on the return home! Out of the 38 cancelled flights on the board ours plus one other were still flying. No more than 12 passengers on board! Phew!

Now for some views from the beach. This Newquay set should be a 'spot the seagull' contest, as there's at least one or two in each photo! JJ and I walked all around this beach in the evening, and the next evening, Tim and Lina came along too - she seemed happy to pad around on the sand.

I have so many shots from 2014 that I never posted on Flickr. I have been spending a lot of time on Facebook with my two photography partners Nelly, and Birdo. Any way, I am hoping to bring my Flickr stream up to date.

This shot was taken at Capitola Beach back on November 30th, and the light only last for 5 minutes. It was the best 5 minutes ever! The light and colors are borderline gaudy, but it was what it was.
