Small pools of water on the beach after the tide went out leading to distance walkers.

After a wet and wild week in Wollongong, we managed to squeeze in a visit to the beach on Saturday. The surf was huge, the beach covered with jellyfish and the silver gulls unusually active feeding in the sea (not begging for chips).

As the tide was shifting, so the reflections joined the stunning clouds for this beach spectacle.

This picture was taken at Praia do Bessa in João Pessoa (Brazil) during a shooting session during the sunset. It was shot with hand held camera and no flash and no other equipment, only using natural light and correctly adjusting the white balances as it was during the sunset and the sun was almost gone.

The beach is rocky and the occasional sea-stack can be found. An obliging gull rests on this one long enough for me to get the colour in the under-lit cloud - thank you.
