I walked along South Beach in Troon this morning and came across this piece of driftwood ~ from a distance it looked "animal" like!!

Monday before last was a day off work and a chance to spend a few hours at the beach in Bournemouth, more surprising was not the fact I had a day off from work, but rather it was the first day in several weeks it wasnt raining.
So making most of the opportunity to get some UV and fresh air I spent considerable time trying to find something of note or interest to photograph on what appears to be a very sterile shoreline eventually I was rewarded with this shot. Im not exactly sure what this structure is or its purpose, if you know please do tell me.
The image captures a receding tide, crashing over the concrete plinth and metal apparatus, with a soft warm light from the afternoon sun catching the whites of the water and leading edge of the concrete plinth.
A superb 1970 Dodge Challenger, originally shot at the Rod & Custom show in Faversham recently.

Lovely wild bush beach just a little south of our bush beach. Its protected by some outer reefs and two very small islands that make it nice and tranquil for swimming and has some very deep holes for snorkeling and rock pools to explore. One beach is shell grit and the longer beach section is sand.
Lots of fish and lots of crayfish (lobsters).

Just before the top, the last staircase infact, there's this amazing view of Zenith Beach and Shoal Bay.
As the birds fly by and the sun sets, beach walking is just the thing.
