quiet time...misty beach...

Repainting the lifeguard huts in preparation for the next season while piles sand in the background wait to be distributed.

When I am fortunate enough to have time at the beach you will find me walking the beach at sunrise and sunset! The sound and sea breeze is delightful....and it helps me forget the golf in between. :-)

Sunset Beach located in North Carolina is absolutely beautiful. Most of these pics were taken from the pier.

Viewed from the pier: the sandy beach, the North Sea (that's its usual colour) and the frontage of the characterful town.

Running out from work at 8pm did not leave me many options for shooting the sunset. I went down to the beach and tried to capture some interesting looking splashes.

Palawan Beach, located on Sentosa in Singapore. And to think that after having spent 4 months in the country, I still haven't stepped into the water!

Monday before last was a day off work and a chance to spend a few hours at the beach in Bournemouth, more surprising was not the fact I had a day off from work, but rather it was the first day in several weeks it wasnt raining.

So making most of the opportunity to get some UV and fresh air I spent considerable time trying to find something of note or interest to photograph on what appears to be a very sterile shoreline eventually I was rewarded with this shot. Im not exactly sure what this structure is or its purpose, if you know please do tell me.

The image captures a receding tide, crashing over the concrete plinth and metal apparatus, with a soft warm light from the afternoon sun catching the whites of the water and leading edge of the concrete plinth.
