I'm looking for a Lati White basic body (not sp) in natural skin, but the natural skin of several years ago, not the more recent yellowish natural skin. The newest Lati ns is pinker but still fairly light, and what I really want is a closer match to Fairyland ns. I may be be the only person in the world to want to do this, but I want to make a hybrid with a Pukipuki Ruby head on a Lati white body. I know people have done it successfully the other way around in the past (Puki body/Lati head) and that Lati's resin used to be much more similar to FL's.
If you have one of these older bodies with the "darker" skin tone--or know where I might find one--please PM me! I need a chubby, baby Ruby!!! :) :)

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I had ogled "The King and I" dolls since the early days of 2011. I always debated as to whether or not I should buy any off of eBay. But I was apprehensive about the quality, since they were made by Playmates. Dolls from this brand are very hit or miss in my experience. So I decided to wait it out and see if any came my way in the wild. On opening day at the flea market in 2013, I got my hands on Tuptim. She was part of the "60 Doll Bin." As the name suggests, this was a large lot hosting around 60 dolls. The first time we encountered the container, my sister and I decided to skim a few dolls off of the top. The majority of the plastic people were nude, and we were not sure if we wanted to adopt so many moochie people. I picked Tuptim right away, since I recognized her. I knew she was wearing her factory outfit, despite her poor condition otherwise. We did double back that same Sunday and bought the rest of the lot. This lady had terrible hair that was entirely frizzy. I wasn't as skilled at flat ironing back then, so it took me a few attempts to finally fix her hair. Her legs had turned yellow and her neck was severely cracked. A lot of "The King and I" dolls have yellowing legs for some reason. It must have something to do with the chemical composition of their bend and snap legs. It can be eradicated with traditional stain removal methods. I ended up finding an Anna doll with butchered hair, later on that same year at the flea market. Since Tuptim had a horrendous neck crack, I bought Anna as a body donor. Her legs aren't yellowing on this body, and it's not cracked anywhere. This lady was a labor of love, but well worth it. I'd love to find another, nicer version of her someday...or the other Tuptim that was produced.

As ridiculous as I look, this is my basic gear for urban exploration. An Energizer headlamp with a 1 watt LED, two white flood LED's, and 2 red LED's for retaining night vision. The respirator is for lead-dust, asbestos, mold-abatement, and others.

I had a conversation with a good photography buddy of mine the other night about feeling lost lately in regards to the how and why of taking photos. Lately I've been in something of a quandary with what speaks to me, what I want to photograph, and most importantly, why I want to photograph. The idea I bounced off him was the idea of going back to basics - looking not at the content for what it is but rather seeking line and shape and color and form.
Hunting through a catalog of recent snapshots I found this little gem, and it pretty much embodies what I think I need to do for a little while until I figure myself out again. Simple. Basic. Shapes, textures and color. And nothing more.

Not a tutorial I know, more of a hint.
There where too many factors involved in making a tutorial, edit software, hdr software, camera auto-bracketing functions etc. etc. A step-by-step would have been huge too, (I know, I tried!). So a hint of what I do and hopefully of some help to you.
GIMP is a great piece of editing software for free and qtpfsgui is what I use for my HDR's and again, brilliant for free!
