I just bought the new photomatix pro 3.1 and love it. It was the last piece of software I need for my macbook pro. Now I'm set for a little while till I get my reversed gnd and full frame camera! Come on Santa! I've been good this year? =0)

the basic gun is finished! I've been working at my 3 jobs (yes 3....) non stop so this has been worked on for 30-40 min incriments over the last two weeks. I will start My J-Tac version tomorrow on my day off, But I really like this and wanted to get it here in case something stupid happens. Hope you all like it.

A sólo una hora de La Paz, dirigiéndonos hacia el norte, nos encontramos frente a frente con la majestuosa e imponente Cordillera Real de los Andes, con nevados de alturas que fluctúan entre 5.500 mts. y 6.500 mts. sobre el nivel de mar y conforman una cadena montañosa de 600 nevados que se suceden en una longitud aproximada de 200 Kms. Dividen el altiplano a 4.000 mts. de altura y la región amazónica a 500 mts.
Las distintas cumbres de la Cordillera desafÃan la práctica del Andinismo, brindando la oportunidad de realizar en ellas escalada en roca y hielo, ascensiones, caminatas por caminos prehispánicos, esquà de travesÃa, esquà alpino (5.100 a 5.300 mts.), trekking y bicicleta de montaña (Zongo), además de experimentar sensaciones de profunda paz y serenidad al admirar las aguas de sus lagunas con escenarios y paisajes realmente fascinantes. De mayo a septiembre es el periodo ideal para iniciar esta aventura.
Chacaltaya
A 36 Kms. de la ciudad de La Paz, a una altura de 5.344 mts. sobre el nivel del mar y a una hora por carretera asfalta, se encuentra el Nevado del Chacaltaya que se puede visitar durante todo el año. En la base se pueden encontrar todas las comodidades básicas instaladas por el Club Andino Boliviano. La vista desde su cumbre es espectacular puesto que abarca toda la diversidad geográfica de esa región y desde allà se puede apreciar el Huayna PotosÃ, el Condoriri y en el horizonte el Lago Titikaka y el vasto altiplano. La pista de Ski se encuentra fuera de funcionamiento por la ausencia de nieve abundante, debido al cambio climático.
El paseo está conectado con el valle de Zongo y permite el descenso en bicicleta de montaña a un desnivel de 4.000 metros. Para apreciar la plenitud de la belleza natural de Chacaltaya, se aconseja visitarla entre abril y octubre.

We had a laboration in chemistry class where we seperated molecules of different sizes in milk. Some of the basic equipment in our school is quite old, like this stand which the measuring cylinder stands on, and it has got some interesting patterns created by exposure to different chemical substances. There's alot soul in much of the basic equipment in chemistry class, and one can feel that there's alot history of doing the stuff you're at the moment doing.

This is my current reading! As a matter of fact, I've almost finished it. It's a delightful little book on the basic and necessary elements for landscape photography. Author Michael Frye, an excellent landscape photographer himself, makes, all the time, interesting and instructive comparisons to the methods and ideas of great masters like Ansel Adams, Eliot Porter and Edward Weston, including the well-known Zone System. A real bargain for what it actually delivers.

Plasticwood Designs
Grimy ex-GWR Collett 57XX Class 0-6-0PT 3744 - with painted-on cabside number - at Oxley loco shed, with a very basic desgn of snowplough, on a cold wet day in February 1966.
The loco was withdrawn in August 1966, and scrapped in December. Sixteen examples have been preserved, including some that were sold on to London Transport.
Oxley shed closed down in 1967, but today (2022) much of the site is still in use for railway maintenance services..
Restored from an under-exposed cyan/magenta-colour-shifted original..
