One nice thing about the flight pattern of a Blue Jay is that their wing beats are not synchronized with my camera's frames per second, so a burst of shots results in a nice variety of wing positions. This is the bullet position, above my kayak on Armand Bayou.
..... taking a dip, reluctantly it seems. While walking along the Okanagan Lake shoreline I found these Sunflowers stuck into the sand. I have no idea why they were put there other than for a type of sunrise ceremony.
Thought I would take myself downunder in my mind because I wish I was back in Oz.
I'm in such a mess at home but thankfully I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This wonderful little creature spent the night in my kitchen on the old towel I throw over my laptop. Did not move as I dragged the tablecloth, laptop and towel a little closer to the open window. Always had a leg over one eye.

Appears to be bashful or maybe sniffing the flowers but most likely just waking up from an afternoon nap.

Not generally known for a lack of confidence, this Snowy Egret seemed more than a bit reserved despite being the showiest bird on this section of Horsepen Bayou.
