Trek Day 11
Makalu Base Camp (4800m) - Shershong / Shersong / Shershon / शेरशोन (4630m) - Merak (4550m) - Langmale / लाङ्माले (4400m) - Tadosa / तादोसा (4010m) - Yangle Kharka / Yangri Kharka / याङ्ले खर्क (3630m)
Day 1 of retracing our steps - and returning to Those Steps - on our return route. Going downhill, we covered in one day what had taken two days on the way up while we needed to keep to the Acclimatisation Rules.
Beautiful weather and views in the morning. Lunch at Langmale, then down into the cloud, and back to vegetation - rhododendron and juniper to start with, then into the big trees.
Nice to be back in Yangle Kharka - although I didn't appreciate the mouse activity overnight - and this year's TMC Kanchenjunga to Makalu Base Camp trek group were there too, having just completed the difficult section from Honggon. Busy in the Dining Room!
