U.S. Army National Guard security force members of Provincial Reconstruction Team Farah provide security for the arrival of official guests at Forward Operating Base Farah, Farah province, Afghanistan, on Sept. 10. Independent Directorate of Local Governance members are visiting the provincial governor and key local leaders in Farah. PRT Farah is a unit of soldiers, sailors and airmen working with various government and non-government agencies tasked with facilitating governance and stability in the region by working hand in hand with local officials and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The goal of the PRT is to promote the Afghan government and their ability to resolve local issues and provide security to the people. The base off the tree. It is surround by fallen leaves. The tree stump is elevated by about 15 inches. Moss and mushrooms can be seen on stump. The Red maple is growing on something that looks like a bump in the ground. It is elevated about 12-14 inches over trees and plants in a the area within about 4-6 feet. The interesting thing is there is a lot of growing trees on this elevated bump. A lot more then other areas in this location
