January 22, 2020 - This afternoon we did a Zodiac wildlife cruise in Cierva Cove which is located on Western side of Graham Land, Antarctic.
"Cierva Cove is named after Juan de la Cierva, the designer of the autogiro, the first successful rotating wing aircraft. The entire area has been designated an Antarctic Specially Protected area due to its rich biodiversity, which includes numbers species of nesting birds, marine mammals, vegetation, and invertebrates. The Argentine research station, Primavera is located there and operates in the summer only." Wildlife seen on our cruise: Leopard Seals, Weddell Seals, Gentoo Penguins, Chinstrap Penguins, Antarctic Cormorants. We also saw Antarctica Hairgrass.

A fully automated portable toilet sitting at the base of Coit Tower. It was amazing :) Door opens, you walk inside. When you close the door, a toilet emerges from the wall! When you push the "flush" button, it flushes, then washes itself down from top to bottom, and goes back into the wall. Push another button and a sink emerges from another wall... when you push the button to leave, the entire inside of the facility showers itself down and blow dries... you can hear it all happening inside. It is then super clean and ready for the next user. All for a quarter! They didn't last long here.... the homeless people figured out that for a mere 25 cents, they could have a nice dry warm place to sleep all night.

Parked next to them is WHOTT's OTA632G , a Bristol RELH6G / ECW C45F new in March 1969 to Southern National in Royal Blue livery. It is waiting to work the free 11.55 service to Wiveliscombe as duplicate to 56GUO.
WHOTT was wound up in 2025 and most of its assets were transferred to The Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust .
