28-02-15. Nice Learjet 31 based in Venezuela arriving to SJO. Got this one before twice; once at SJO and the other at FLL.
Taken 8/13/2001, this is a shot of the snow and pool at the base of James Peak on the west side. There is still quite a bit of snow here and it is a beautiful area. This is the source of South Boulder Creek.

Kyogen is a dialogue-based drama. No large-scale stage equipment is used, and everything is expressed through words and gestures. A major feature of Kyogen is “laughter”. Based on the daily life and tales of the common people in the Middle Ages, it sharply cuts out human habits and essence, and turns them into generous "laughter" and "funny".

The crew explores Sea Base's very own submersible. This is a former Ballard research sub which once dove on the Titanic. It was donated to the BSA Florida Sea Base a few years ago.

"The reptilian complex, also known as the R-complex or "reptilian brain" was the name MacLean gave to the basal ganglia, structures derived from the floor of the forebrain during development. The term derives from the fact that comparative neuroanatomists once believed that the forebrains of reptiles and birds were dominated by these structures. MacLean contended that the reptilian complex was responsible for species typical instinctual behaviors involved in aggression, dominance, territoriality, and ritual displays."
