This Playset was called "The Imperial Attack Base – action playset". Which simply doesn't make sense, the Imperials didn't have a base on Hoth and by its very nature a base cannot attack anything as it is somewhat immobile.
What make somewhat more sense however is by adding just a “‘s” and a “the” the name can be changed to “The Imperial’s Attack the Base – action playset”. For whatever reason it seems obvious to me that the name was changed. Possibly just to shorten it or possibly to give the toy range another Imperial toy.
Historical note: Lucas got the name Hoth from the WWII German general who battled in bitter sub zero temperatures around Stalingrad.

Although this is an abandoned air base, there still is a lot of activity going on. Many people visit the former base to walk or ride bicycles on the quiet streets and it is still patrolled by security guards. Also a few businesses have set up in the area. There is some construction going on and I believe it will be for housing... shame on me for not asking the guard about it. And no, he didn't want his photo taken.

Sorting pics and found this one i took last year in France of a street musician. Loved the expression on his face. He was a great entertainer.
Okay, I don't have my notes on me, but here's the story as I remember it: A singer from Waterloo met with some measure of national success and thanked her hometown's support by donating a fountain to the city. I happened to read about it just before what would've been the fountain's 100th anniversary, and I was saddened to see that this was the condition it was in. A librarian told me it had toppled over--just like that!--a few years previous, and its carcass was stashed in a garage somewhere.
Elsewhere in this set: A happy ending.

Basing House is an early 12th century earth and timber ringwork and bailey fortress, founded by the de Port family. In 1261, Robert de St John founded the stone castle, when adding a keep and a gatehouse encased by a heighten rampart but the outer defences remained of timber. In 1531, Sir William Paulet, constructed the Citadel inside the ringwork, when he was granted a licence to crenellate. Later to the north east of the ringwork, he constructed a brick Tudor palace, comprising of a series of rectangular buildings, arranged around a central courtyard. In 1643, Civil War earthwork defences, were added to the castle, which was under siege, until being stormed by Oliver Cromwell in 1645. The successor to Olivers Battery, the castle was then slighted, with the remainder being demolished after the Restoration. Both buildings now survive as ruins.

January 21, 2020 - This morning we had our first landing in Antarctica. I can now check off visiting all seven continents from my bucket list.
We visited Argentine Base Esperanza located in Trinity Peninsula. It is a inhabited year round by Argentine families. This base was founded in 1953 and holds the distinction of the birth of Emilio Palma on 7 January 1978. Emilio was the first person to be born in Antarctica.
We saw the historic stone hut where Andersson, Duse and Grunden from the 1903 Nordenskjold Swedish expedition lived. We also visited a small museum, chapel and the school house.
Wildlife seen: Adélie Penguins, Gentoo Penguins and Snowy Sheathbill. On our Zodiac ride back to the ship we saw a Leopard Seal.

I'll never cease to be amazed at how many barrow loads of dirt come out of a small trench.
Not a photography day, nor a walking day, nor a bike day, but a Slaving in the Garden day.
The shed has been terminally rotting for the last two years and I've had it's replacement on the patio since March waiting for me to Get-Around-To-It and today was the day (before the Autumn arrives properly and the mower gets soaked.
