In 20 years, I have never seen the BART train system so jam-packed with travelers from all over the Bay Area.
Bart was rescued as a five-month-old puppy in June. He was living under vacant houses in the Florida Area and eating out of trash cans. That didn't get him down in the least! He was very happy and social. Bart was severely worm- and flea-infested and also had demodex mange when he was rescued. He was also severely malnourished. Now, he's 9-10 months old, extremely healthy, and a very happy, sweet boy.
Bart is a beagle/catahoula mix. He's a petite boy at only 35 pounds. Bart is very energetic but also does well in a crate and rides perfectly in the car. Bart's favorite pastime is playing in the hose! He is submissive and gentle and good with all people and dogs. Bart has never met anyone he didn't like. Bart has been to day care and done very well. Bart would be an amazing dog for an active family -- I couldn't think of a better running partner. Bart is house trained and doing well on leash and obedience training, but he'll need more work. Bart is now fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, flea-, demodex-, and worm-free, and microchipped. The generic brick layouts of some of the East Bay BART stops totally remind me of the bland environments of some of those old first person shooter video games, like DOOM, so I photoshopped them in.

Liane picked me u from the SF Caltrains station to go up to Pleasant Hill. We're sitting on the BART and this guy in the pic walks in throughthe door as he is jerking off, then sits down next to this guy. NO ONE NEXT TO HIM MOVES!!!! The guy next to him stays put until he gets off 15min later. . If he sat next to us I would've gotten up, took a pic then sent it to the police-just like how the NYC woman caught the guy who did the same thing in front of her.
then he pulls a crack pipe out and starts smoking. It wasn't pot, there was no odor. The most surreal part was that this was a full train and everyone had their IPODS on and no one even notices what he is doing. It was weird cuz Liane and I thought we were in a alternate universe where we were the only ones who noticed this extreme behavior. Only in SF!! No one would put up with this in NY if he was doing his busisness right next to someone, he would get cursed out or beat up.Here, people were too scared to even blink an eye or move.
Bart is a standard poodle, beautifully coiffed so as to look like a real dog and not something frou-frou off a skirt in the 1950s. He's nine years old. His owner told me the story of how they got him:
Nine years ago, they were thinking about getting a dog sometime in the next year or so. They decided to go visit a breeder in Milwaukee just to check her out. The night before they were to go visit the breeder, they came home from a date and the babysitter was watching the Simpsons. Later that evening, the husband asked his wife, "What would we name a dog if we get one?" She answered off the top of her head, flashing on the Simpsons, "Bart", and they both had a good laugh. The next day they went to the breeder and she must have thought they were planning on getting a dog that day. She asked if they had a preference between male and female and they said male. The breeder said "I only have one male left. Come here, Bart!" The husband and wife looked at each other and realized that they were destined to take this dog. And they lived happily ever after.
