A new 'Fleet of the Future' BART car parked on a trailer in transit to the Bay Area at the Truck Inn parking area at Interstate 80 exit 48 in Fernley, Nevada. At right is the A (driving cab) end of a type D unit. The "teeth" in front of the cab are retractable anti-incursion devices that fold out of the way when this is the front car of a train. The teeth are to prevent people from getting in between the coupled cars.

BART to Embarcadero was my regular commute in the past.
Now After our Amtrak trip, Larry and I use it as a connection between San Francisco and South San Francisco to visit family.
We took a short trip to visit a friend in Washington DC. BART is very similar to the DC rapid transit (I forgot the name of it).

Today, C. and I went to play tourist in San Francisco.
We began today's adventure at the Millbrae BART station, which is the end of the line closest to the hotel we're staying at. It also serves as a connection point between BART and CalTrain.
These are BART trains waiting to load passengers to take them on their way through the various BART lines.
This was on the way home from SF. The BART trains stop in the same place every time (the black part), unlike Metro trains
