Still a work in progress. I will darken the finish on the bar base & add a stone wall behind it.

Bar-tailed Godwit at Merimbula.

Most Bar-tailed Godwits are now at their breeding grounds in Siberia and Alaska but a few stay here in Australia for winter.

It was interesting to watch these robots make the requested drinks... I still prefer the human whom you can interact with. Slid for HSS !

Just hanging out... and drinking LOL

Where shiny stainless-steel Zephyrs once traveled through on the busy route between Chicago and the Twin Cities, Burlington Northern Expediter (BN’s monicker for new 2-person crew intermodal trains) No. 42 cruises by the now empty “Zephyr Bar” across the street from the depot at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, on a rainy May 7, 1994.

Warren House Inn, Dartmoor, Devon. Apparently the fire hasn't gone out in a very long time. I'm sure it used to be peat but they use logs now.

Inside one of my favourite pubs in Edinburgh, Bennets. There's been a pub here next to the theatre since 1839, although it became Bennets in 1906 during a makeover, and the main bar remains the same inside now more or less as it did then, lovely wood and glass and mirrored pieces, they are also famous for their round table, the top of which sport maps of parts of Scotland.

Good for real ales and plenty of very fine single malts. And it's a dog friendly pub too, this was us perched at the end of the main bar for part of Sunday after a good, long walk with pal and his dogs, dogs now snoozing in front of the fire while we had a few jars. Not a bad way to spend part of your Sunday afternoon... Took this with my patented "beer tripod", setting timer on camera in low light mode and sitting it on top of an empty pint glass to steady it for an improvised low light, long exposure

The life in big cities is impossible without snack bars. We can find them everywhere! They mean the only one choice for the running and hurrying people to get some food and drink quickly during that very short period of the day when they have a break.

Hope you like it! :)

I love mornings like this in Bar Harbor, Maine, or most anyplace along the coast. The waves were barely detectable and as they moved slowly beneath the soft pastel colors. The lobster boats were kind enough to sit still during the exposure. This is from an old 35mm transparency. Image is best viewed large.
