It's that time of year again at the Clearance BIn Bar - Tom has dragged out the tree and decorations (as sponsored by the Smurfin' good 'Gargamel's Blue Label' *) and is already cursing like a trooper. Meanwhile Linh and Twiki help as best as they can... and, as usual, will take over and make the place look pretty once Tom has had his usual Xmas breakdown and retired to a darkened room with a crate of Action Beer.

During a planned twilight cityscape shoot at Pyrmont, the cloudless sky, which I expected to remain plain and eventually turn royal blue, became increasingly cloudy.
As I was positioned for what would be my twilight image, a few drops of rain started to fall. A minute or two later, I heard thunder, and several minutes later, a brief thunderstorm descended upon the city.
I quickly sought shelter, and waited maybe ten minutes for the fast-moving storm to continue on its way north-east.
Once the rain stopped, I returned to this location, and was greeted with the intense golden light hitting the buildings. There was a gap in the clouds in the western sky, which allowed this beautiful light to bathe the scene.
The landscape photographer's motto is "pray for bad weather", and sure enough, the minutes after the storm produced some excellent light which is rare to see.
Photographed on Gadigal land.

Street candid taken in Glasgow, Scotland. It's all about the lines in this shot - I couldn't have asked for better T-shirts to contrast with the pillars behind!

The lights in the trendy sushi bar Zabo in the area "Barrio Lastarria".

The owner is half Polish, half Finnish. It's also a great cocktail bar.

The other side of ANZAC Day weather. This morning was crystal clear and stunning (see my last photo) and this afternoon we have had a massive storm come over. This shot is a little crooked and I caught a railing in the foreground but my trusty D90 and I were huddled under an umbrella in torrential rain, thunder and lightning (which I was trying to capture!) I had a couple of cracks but then quickly got out of Dodge.

Looking over to Bar Hill from Croy Hill today. Both hills have the remains of Roman forts. Part of the Antonine Wall. Beautiful light.
