Belfast's very own flatiron building. Based on the date on the brick work, I'm gonna say it probably dates to 1861.
Beach Bar, Serignan, France.
I returned to this image whilst going through the archives as I like to do. It's nice to see images in a new light, perhaps with different meaning to the original shot. The mix of vertical and horizontal lines is appealing, as is the yellow and red of the flag being repeated in the pedalo and kayak beside the shack. Other than those two colours, the palette is fairly muted by the brightness of the sun when this shot was taken.
Took this picture at a cool restuarant in downtown Mumbai called The Flute.
Cheers and happy drinking!

A lone patron sit at a colourful bar. This is a jpg out of the Fuji X100S. Was happy with the mood and tones.
Taken at Bar Beach, Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
Taken with my old trusty D90 backup DSLR as the D750 is away at Nikon Service getting a new shutter fitted as a result of a service advisory / recall.
As always, thanks for any comments, views or favorites, they are much appreciated!

In Montana, it's all about the bison. (Thank goodness they didn't call it the "buffalo" bar - silly, but it's a pet peeve of mine when people use "buffalo" to describe the American Plains Bison.) I spotted this neon sign in downtown Forsyth, and snapped this as Greg drove by it. Sometime I wanna go back and get a shot of it at night.
Deryn and I popped into Adolf Loos’s American Bar (1908) for a drink before a concert. It is tiny, no more than 5 tables, and dark even during the day! The tables are lit from within creating a very cosy, subdued, calming environment. It was renovated in 1990 but remains a time capsule to another time, the smoky jazz age, or at least how the Europeans conceived it must have been like.
My first test shoot using the new black backdrop. My Israli model Bar was a real trooper for a 5 hour marathon as I played with different lighting and camera setups.
3- 6 bulb Interfit Super Cool Lites were used in this shoot. The closest one to me was 45 degrees to my left with and octogon diffuser. The second was about 45 degrees to my right with no diffuser and a little closer to the subject. A third was to my left again and behind the subject with no diffuse for back light. They were all supported by an overhead rail system.
