Ha Ha barrier - this is a type of fence which uses a liner depression in the ground so that from a distance nothing blocks the sight line. In country areas this is a good way to keep cattle from invading the garden and eating the flowers.
This is one of three images showing a Ha Ha in Valentines Park, Ilford. This park actually has two Ha Ha barriers.
When chocolate box is more than just OK. When the world feels so beautiful it's almost unreal. When I press the shutter and know it'll be a good one
Barriers to inland wetland migration, such as this Dutch dike, are common in Europe and China. © Rijkswaterstaat/Joop Van Houdt.
A man with his possessions on his back sits alone near a line of shops. In front of him a sign proclaims, "Access healthcare anywhere" with a graphic of a smart phone. All of this is seen behind a barrier of steel bollards. There is a story here.
Waited here to enter the D barrier at the Big Day Out this year - pretty much the worst experience ever! The crowd was intense, to say the least. Bjork was worth it though.
Taken with my camera phone (shitty!) and printed with the Fujifilm MP-100 mobile printer (my new favourite toy!).
Distant Hills.
From Peterborough we headed along the Barrier Highway to the NSW Border and the old Mining Town of Broken Hill. It is a long drive and a fairly featureless road, but this is what we saw.

Broken fence post behind my home - all the fence is broken down back there. Really need to get it fixed!
Continuing our tourist trip to Cairns on our last full day in Australia we visited the Great Barrier Reef. This shot was taken from a glass bottomed boat taking a tour over the coral. Obviously this was taken through glass so the quality isn't that great but hopefully you still get an impression of the coral and the seabed.
I was waiting with my camera in hand on a higher level as I wanted to take a picture of a person who was interrupting the lines of the stairs when this elderly man arrived and desperately looked for a way up.
(There is a ramp that goes up about 100m to the right and I think he found it soon)
Not only was there a physical barrier, but there was also a mental barrier that prevented me from entering the playground, which was full of children probably way younger than me... It amazed me how every single kid present had so much energy.

Barton Barriers is a temporary work of conceptual art by Stephen Dubov. It was installed on March 13, 2010, on an overgrown public right-of-way along Barton Skyway in Austin's Barton Hills neighborhood. The sculpture consists of over 50 Yodocks and is about 100 feet long and up to 12 feet tall. It has created quite a stir among residents. It will be taken down on June 12.
