2019 has been a year of many firsts, things I used to take for granted. Today, I was able to drive to the mountains for the first time since February. I have made several trips to these mountains over the years but this trip will always be the most special.
Looking through the open Thames barrier on the south bank at New Charlton, upriver to the O2, Emirates Cablecar and Canary Wharf. London. Best expanded to see that detail.
Stones are effective / from blocking access to beer ("Jupiler") / or as measures of containment. // You don't know which way to turn / and there is no ladder.
The sunset was dipping behind the low-hanging clouds, and the multiple storm fences, meant to stop the loss of sand from winter storms, also impeded the path to the beach. I especially liked the haze or mist rising from the ocean on the horizon. Jones Beach, NY -- February 20, 2023

The magma entered the mudstone, cooled, hardened, and became an igneous rock.
A huge tusnami carried the collapsed rocks to the land side.
