Smile on Saturday / Bangles
Ahoy me Hearties I hope you all smile a lot today and every day.
You know, every good pirate wench (woman) needs a little flair. The bangles in this image are just a little bit of the bling that goes with my pirate ensemble. These days I am beginning to wonder if it's okay for pirate wenches to wear flip flops instead of high heeled boots or stilettos when they set sail on an adventure.
Below are a couple of links to check out if interested. I'm not as fancy as the pirate in pink but we have similar attitudes when it comes to pillaging, plundering, and such. The other is a link to the Tampa Gasparilla information.

Have a sensational Saturday and happy snapping.
These bangles were from my Aunt & Uncle who were in Nepal for some years. I didn't really believe they were glass until I let some children play with them & one or two broke!
The box says: "Authentic Glass Bangles" "Doctor Super Bangles" "AP Brand" Firozabad (India). I looked it up & glass bangles is what Firozabad is famous for😁I suppose I should have believed what the box said!

Don't wear loud clanging bangles at work, it's disruptive and noisy and your coworkers won't appreciate it!
Bangles should have a gentle wind-chimey tinkle, not the crash bang of a million pots and pans.

“I know a girl from whose body sunbeams rose to the clouds as if they’d fallen from the sun.
Her laugh was like a bangle of bells.
“Your hair is wet,” I told her one day, “Did you take a bath?”
“It is dew!” she laughed, “I’ve been lying in the grass. All morning long, I lay here waiting for the dawn.”

I've just got back from holiday this evening so set this one up quickly for the theme. I'll catch up with commenting in the pool tomorrow.
For 120 pictures in 2020 #9 "Bangles or bracelets", this is a cloisonne bracelet. Whether it is real cloisonne or not I have no idea (but probably fake), but it is one of my wife's favorites.
Every word that you have ever said is hanging like bangles in my mind. I don't forget what I don't want to forget.
my arm covered with bangles. Some from marocco (typical berber bracelets), some from india. And yes, I'm still wearing them every day. never take them of.
While Nenia was so busy arranging our Awake and Watchtower volumes in the book stand, I am also busy making shots of this girlie blingblings she temporarily place on the table.
I just know a little about those bangles. I just know that those different colors are worn to match her dress.
But for me, the bangles is not the issue here but the DOF. Hahaha.
Husbands out there, do you notice this?
This was given to me by my Nan when I was about 20. I wore a lot of silver jewellery then and I can still remember talking about jewellery and she suddenly said, 'I think I've got something you might like', and disappeared into the bedroom to fetch this bangle. I have worn it repeatedly since then and still love it today. It was originally a gift to my Nan for her 21st birthday from my Grandad.
