This is a stack of bangles we shot for a flyer we sent out in our neighbourhood.
All the bangles are handmade.
The top and bottom of the stack is a design consiting of colored gemstones
The bangle in the centre has a beautiful inter weaved design set in with baguette shaped diamonds.
The rest are single lined diamond bangle sets.
couldn't find any Guatemalan bracelets that I liked, so made my own with stuff I had on hand: a woven cord from Venezuela, some embroidery thread to make tassels, and three little quitapenas dolls from the Chichi market (these dolls, a Maya custom, carry your troubles away while you sleep...) Pretty happy with these three soft fabric bangles. They won't last forever, but what does? Can always make more. :)
Custom Bangle
Composed of multiple feet of sterling silver wire, lovely pink, white and lavender lampwork beads, sterling silver beads, and mykonos metalized donuts.
The sterling clasp was made and hammered by me.
For some reason, I have The Bangles in my head now. Whazzup with that?
Anyways, FGR wanted us to wear somebody else's glasses. These are GW's. I asked for them, he gave them without asking why. I think he knows me by now.
Happy Monday!
A shop with lot many goodies jut outside Chandrika Devi temple located in the outskirts of Lucknow, India. When you visit a temple in India, generally you pass through numerous such and other shops dealing with items/materials used for offering prayers to Hindu Gods and Goddesses, beside keeping pooja samagri, they also sell stuff which are a thing of delight for the kids..
Seamless bangles and beads waiting to be made into something... What will it be? A key ring? A necklace? Perhaps some earrings!
A funky bangle is made of hundreds of tiny glass seed beads stitched one by one. I used netting to make a, round tube, which I then embellished it with spikes of different sizes seed beads. The pattern is based on Heather Kingsley-Heath's design which I modyfied -very slightly I must admitt. I used black beads in different sizes and finishes for the embellishments and tipped them with a drop of white. The result is this wonderfully fun bangle which can be worn for an evening outing and all the attention.

this bangle is a portal; a subtle tear in time and space, an aperture of imagination....
let your body be the conduit! wear it and you can feel its weight, jangling on your wrist, resting on the top of your hand. touch the inside of the portal and you will discover a secret message, a poetical talisman for you and you alone! travel to the tips of your cortex, envision the ends of the earth --
be a beam of light.
this portal bangle is really something special: made of thick, forged sterling silver, it has some serious heft! along it's outer rim, there are five tube-set, faceted sapphires: two yellow, one pink, one blue-black and one deep green; as well as one bezel-set cabochon of black sapphire! these stones are scattered amongst discs, dots and rings of sterling silver and 14 karat gold.
the inside of the bangle is inscribed with part of a walking song sung by hobbits (curtesy -of course- of j.r.r. tolkien): "Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate".
Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though I oft have passed them by,
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.
I made this copper bangle yesterday and used a lovely beadset that I purchased from twosisters4 on etsy. This is my first copper bangle, and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I wanted to try copper before silver, but I will feel confident making one out of silver...just will have to order some first-lol! :)

Designer American Diamond bangles for women that has been gold plated. It is created with the intention who loves Speerical objects. The design is an awesome piece of attraction.
2 hammered silver bangles - my first ever creation from my silversmithing class. They may not be perfect (they certainly wouldn't hold up to close scrutiny) but they are beautiful in my eyes!
