“As you entered the room

stirring air with suppleness of walk

waking up the stillness with jingles of cymbals

making curtains dance to the sound of bangles."

For Smile on Saturday - Bangles

twist tie bangles, when you can't Bungle in the Jungle you can always have a bangle with a jangle.

.... and a mouse.

This week's theme of the Smile on Saturday group is "Bangles". I had to dig deep in some boxes in the basement to find these sparkling bangles which were part of a fortune teller costume (don't ask ...). My first idea was to take a photo of the bangles with one of the cats but they all flatly refused. Therefore mousie had to volunteer. HSoS ! :)

Eleven of them.

Smile on Saturday - Bangles

Another late entry as the little man was over to see us again for more fun in the garden.

These bangles were a handmade gift from the very talented Sassy Lassy www.flickr.com/photos/sassylassy22/ when we met during our trip to Canada. I wear them so much that I've started thinking of them as a good luck charm.

Bangles are traditionally rigid bracelets, originating from the Indian subcontinent, which are usually made of metal, wood, glass or plastic. They are traditional ornaments worn mostly by women from the Indian subcontinent. It is common to see a new bride wearing glass bangles at her wedding, they symbolize auspiciousness and sanctity of marriage.Wikipedia

it is a scene from the street. if you zoom a little you can also come to know that a young lady is selecting colourful bangles.

indian ladies love bangles.

Bangles are traditionally rigid bracelets which are usually made of metal, wood, glass or plastic. These ornaments are worn mostly by women in the Indian subcontinent, Southeastern Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, and Africa.

I thought a good idea to photograph them for todays theme "bracelets & anklets" in Smile on Saturday
