On Monday 3rd December, we held a friendly competition between Foster and Lewis House, to see which House could raise the most money for their charity through selling home-baked items. The Bake Sale was very well supported, with lots of delicious treats on offer. The Pupil Leadership Teams in both Primary and Secondary took responsibility for selling the items and did a wonderful job. Thank you to all the parents, staff and pupils who supported this event.

My daughter and I took a bread machine class and this was one of our projects post baking.

A cheese wire is two handles at either end of an 18" wire. If you've never seen anyone slice a wheel of cheese with one, and have read a few too many thrillers, you don't see a simple kitchen tool — you see a garrote. I pulled the cheese wire out of a shopping bag, and Ron's eyes got rather wide. I explained what it was for, and he said that when shopping for baking tools in future, I should draw the line before I bought a gun.

I am cranking out the baked oatmeal right now. It tastes like muffins, but with fewer calories and more fiber. These are fruit, nut, and flax!

These appear in both client meals and in the breadbaskets I offer.
