6 large plums
2 cinnamon sticks
2 vanilla pods
3-4 whole star anise
small handful whole cardamom
sweetener to taste
Quarter the plums and remove the stones. Place cut side up in a shallow oven proof dish. Split the vanilla pods lengthways and scrape out the seeds. Place in a small bowl with the pods. Add all the other ingredients and some boiling water (around 150ml or so) and pour gently over the plums. Bake at 200°C for 10-15 minutes until the plums are soft but still holding their shape. Serve with fat free yogurt.
I did some baking for my public speaking class and these lovely cookies were the result! Yum.

I made this. I'm not much of a pie maker so while it wasn't the most attractive pie, it was very delicious.
Turn off the heat, and add the cheese in batches, stirring while it
slowly melts and blends.
If you want additional seasonings, now is a good time to add them.
Inspired by this blog (link via not martha), the boy and I decided to make our own last night. We got Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and unwrapped them, and then rolled the bacon up and around them. Baking took a little longer than usual, I think about 25 minutes at 400 degrees (versus 10 minutes when doing the cinnamon rolls regularly). I think next time I make them I'll up the temperature a bit to shorten the time.
Verdict (based on the input of four of my coworkers, me, and the boy): pretty damn tasty. I will definitely say they are best fresh out of the oven (or microwave, when you heat them up the next day for breakfast).
Neapolitan cupcakes. I didn't expect for the chocolate batter to conquer the other flavors, nor did I except the top strawberry layer to bake out quite so thin (I'll have to work on another method besides adding fresh strawberry puree to the batter, thereby thinning it out)- but, they were quite delicious. The 3 different frostings were totally the best part. :)
