I have an old receipe from my great-aunt. One batch makes about 120 cookies and I made 2 batches. It took me some 3 hours to bake them all. I replaced half of the amount of wheat flour with spelt flour and some of the butter with olive oil. Nice and soo tasty!

Today I made about 5 dozen peanut butter cookies (partly as a bribe, partly because I wanted to bake). I meant to put several pictures together for today, but I really only liked this picture. Also, still working on the flower blooming

Recipe:

-Mix 1 stick butter with 1/c cup each white sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter, cream until smooth

-Add 1 egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

-Mix in 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt

-Roll into small balls, rolling in sugar to coat. Make cris-cross pattern with fork (don't press down too much)

-bake at 375°F for 10 minutes

I made these simple fries to accompany some steaks Dad grilled. While they were a bit bland due to being baked instead of deep-fried, they sopped up steak juices quite sufficiently.

I borrowed a school camera, 450D; apparently my parents have given up on fixing my my dad's 400D because it's outside warranty and costs a minimum of 420 RMB, or 70 USD, without even taking into account the cost of replacement parts.

Not bad, not bad, for a f/5.6 photo. But maybe I'm just too obsessed with bokeh.

Two hours of work, and a 150 RMB profit predicted... wow.

that's right -- I'm baking pies. yikes!!

baking isn't quite my thang.

but I made one and it turned out quite fabulous.

I hate pumpkin pie -- always have.

but I like it if I make it!!

and I've never really been feeling the pumpkin before this year.

now, I'm all about it for some strange reason -- pumpkin in all its forms; I'm totally digging it.
