These small cookies are called "spoon breads" in Finnish, because of the shape, made with spoons. These have raspberry jam in the middle.
Mussels were opened in wine and dressed with butter, garlic, lemon juice and baked with bread crumbs on top of them. I used chives from our fire escape garden as garnish since I didn’t have parsley to add to the butter.
Mussels were from Seatuck Fish Company at the Union Square Greenmarket.
Baking this cake will probably dirty every piece of kitchen utensils u have! it is definitely one of the most fussy cake recipe i have ever come across.
This cake requires whipping ur egg yolks and whites separately. and more uniquely, baked in a water bath. Pretty uncommon for a sponge cake.
But i would say, the extra efforts did pay off as the result was an super ultra soft, tight crumbed and very delish chocolate cake
The filling is just ur usual ganache comprising of equal amounts of chocolate and whipping cream.

Sprinkled with salt, ground chili flakes and a dried herbs mixture (Herbes de Provence), accompanied by four whole cloves of garlic, one big tomato (sliced) and one shallot (sliced). All put into a casserole dish that was greased with little olive oil and baked at 180 °C convection for 30 minutes.
I enjoyed it for lunch with a slice of wonderful bread (so-called "double bake") I brought back from a visit at my mother's at the weekend.
(And now I am hungry again!)

Gebackener Feta

Penyelesaian :

I finally picked up the square Butterfly Gold baking dish today! There is a bit of a story behind finally finding this dish!
Last year, when I first started collecting, I came across a Butterfly gold loaf pan and square pan at Salvation Army. Both were priced at $5 each. At the time, I assumed that since these dishes were so handy, that there was a large abundance of them. Because of this, I only purchased the loaf pan. After a few weeks, I began to realize that in fact, the baking dishes weren't as common as I thought!
Every time I'd see a photo of a Butterfly Gold square pan, I'd regret not picking up that first one! Well, finally today I found another! And the best part is, it is in almost perfect condition and it was only $2! I feel much better now :D
My collection of square and loaf dishes is all matchy now!
