We put up a tent in the backyard and we spent part of the night in it. First time the kids spent the night in a tent. We ended up taking the tent back because of some defects.

I decided to try some macro images and found my subjects around the flowerbeds in the backyard. I have recently bought a photo light tent and wanted to try it out.

The ruby-throated hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) is the only hummingbird in its range over much of the eastern United States where it breeds in the summer, making identification fairly easy. They might look like little glittery cotton balls, but they're hardier than you might think, as they migrate across the entire Gulf of Mexico to reach their winter habitat in Central America.

barking the backyard... who know's maybe we'll sell the joint as soon as we finish landscaping and move on to another project....

I drove up this afternoon and noticed these little wanderers in my backyard! Don't know where they came from but they must've been brought this way due to the huge rain storms that we have been having. They might have even been born in the swamp that was under my house last week!

I wasn't sure if I was going to have to catch them and return them to a park/pond somewhere but before I could decide, they found an opening in the fence and wandered away!

Made for a cute little photo op anyways...

This was apart of a event that Salomon host called the Backyard Bang. Basically, the set up a tiny snowboard park right in the street of Denver and had snowboarders compete to do tricks. Follow this link to learn more

A nice, big backyard! What a luxury in NYC. Beyond the rear cement path, the space extends probably another four to six feet. It's a bit over grown, but I'm thinking I may eventually build a raised platform with a pergola above it. I'm imagining a table an chairs where we can chow on some yummy BBQ in the Summers.
