The other day I spied this Cottontail and Mourning Dove sharing a spot at the far edge of the backyard as sundown approached.

Backyard visitor. Haven't had one in the yard for a while so was happy to see this one.

Blue Jay...

I got one and plenty more to go...

The American robin (Turdus migratorius) is a migratory bird of the true thrush genus and Turdidae, the wider thrush family. It is named after the European robin because of its reddish-orange breast, though the two species are not closely related, with the European robin belonging to the Old World flycatcher family. The American robin is widely distributed throughout North America

Spring has been cool here in Alberta, but things are starting to grow and our backyard is looking beautiful.

Bridger resting in the hammock

Not only does he find things to eat in the lawn, but he also has an appetite for flower seedlings emerging in my garden.

As the sun starts to go down, a bunny comes out in my daughter's backyard. Taken thru a window with setting sunlight shining on the rabbit.

We have a long walkway (visible in the sunrise photos), and this guy likes to hang out underneath it. I've seen him in years past, but never previously got the bird lens aimed his way.

YES!!!!! I had a Calliope Hummingbird show up in my yard yesterday!!! OMG, I could not believe it.

After a long day out birding, I went outside to fill the bird baths. On the way back in the house, I briefly saw a small hummer at the feeder that said Calliope. I thought it was wishful thinking but ran in to grab my camera.

Sure enough, this beautiful male showed back up for a few visits. I didn't stay outside long so he could relax and enjoy the feeders!!!

First spider shot taken on my phone camera with my macro lens attachment. Taken in my backyard in Springfield Oregon Wednesday March 14th 2018. Partly cloudy day sun was not hitting when snapped. enjoy!
