....not too sure about those white beads though....maybe I could paint them? I won't bother making a decision on that until after it's installed and grouted since grout makes such a difference in the overall look. Ugh. Thoughts anyone?

This is the final result, except the window shade was later changed to match the color of the cabinets.
Created 3 roosters for a kitchen from stained glass with a crazy paving andamento that were placed into a subway tile backsplash.
Assorted one" mosaic tiles mixed with some 2 x 2" stone tiles to create a feature over the stove. My idea, won't be doin' that again.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with this backsplash behind the sink when we tile the counters. I'm planning to do a subway tile backsplash, but I'd like to do some kind of tile accent in that tall area behind the sink.

Last week, I finished the backsplash. If you've never been in my kitchen, well, it's a pretty gigantic project. It's about 17" high by about 24 feet long. I have one more space that I dream of mosaicing (the arch ceiling over the sink), but I'd have to work upside-down. So this part is finished. I've grouted and glued everything. If you look just to the right of Alexa, you'll see an old Kodak film tin, given to me by my pal Jennifer.
It's been more than a year since I got this kitchen, and I still love it. I still sit in here all the time thinking about how much I love it.
I don't love a lot these days; that's for damn sure.
