When I was walking yesterday, I saw these little flowering quince blooming (Thank you, [https://www.flickr.com/photos/11815777@N07], for the ID), with the sun partially hitting the backside of some of the petals. So I shot!

Shot taken along my bike route this morning.

Taken yesterday evening at RSPB Ham Wall in Somerset, UK.

Steller's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri)

Cascade Mountains - Jackson County - Oregon - USA

Habitat : Forests

Food : Omnivore

Nesting : Tree

Behavior : Ground Forager

Conservation : Low Concern

"A large, dark jay of evergreen forests in the mountainous West. Steller’s Jays are common in forest wildernesses but are also fixtures of campgrounds, parklands, and backyards, where they are quick to spy bird feeders as well as unattended picnic items. When patrolling the woods, Steller’s Jays stick to the high canopy, but you’ll hear their harsh, scolding calls if they’re nearby. Graceful and almost lazy in flight, they fly with long swoops on their broad, rounded wings." - Cornell University Lab of Ornithology

This shot was taken through a gap in a hedgerow. Luckily I was downwind and although it was suspicious it didn't take fright and flee for a good minute.

Just had to post one more image of my favourite backlit sheep on Bodmin Moor, as the lighting approaching sunset was so good. In tighter for this shot, and she posed beautifully looking directly to camera....probably thinking, what is this idiot crawling towards me doing !!! Awful weather again in Cornwall today.

This song sparrow was posing for me with a light from behind to highlight the flyaway feathers, giving it the hollywood portrait look :)
