A scene lit by the morning sun as it provided a wall of light that lit the edge of the wood as I was passing through. Taken at Brush Hill Nature Reserve, Buckinghamshire

Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire, on what looked like a misty morning from afar but not enough to dull the bright morning sunlight. The morning was spent chasing sunrays and finding scenes lit up by the sun.

Camargue Horse and the Bee

This shoveler couple was at the lake the other day; caught the in flight, but the thing that I noted was the light coming through their bills from the hole in the backside!

Found lots of bluebonnets over at the ranch this past weekend. I just love this time of year!!

Long=eared OWL IN Its morning roost

A Fern in the Shadows

Late afternoon sun paints the back of a sunflower sharing its pollen with some busy bees. If you view large you'll see some tiny bugs hiding amongst the petals.

Taken at Brush Hill Nature Reserve, Buckinghamshire. I was hoping for some sun rays but they were in short supply, but the trees decorated with a winter coating of frost that made up for it.

Bracken (fern)

The word bracken is of Old Norse origin, related to Swedish bräken and Norwegian bregne, both meaning fern.

I liked the tree bokeh that happened in background in this shot... the Owl was nice too I guess! lol

Found these beautiful flowers at Roma Street Parklands, there were too many people trying to photograph them with this light, not many options to get a better natural background, so I went with what the time and resources allowed me.

I was at Banff National Park and I was wanting to photograph Mount Rundle (in background of this photo). However, mount Rundle was being grumpy and would not come out from hiding behind the clouds...So I looked for other photo opportunities. I liked the way the rising sun backlit the clouds and these dead trees.

Just as beautiful...

The tiny, humble seasonal red berries that are so delightful.

Backlit macro, light rays refracting nicely from the water droplets, and highlighting the hidden seeds inside.

One of numerous silver linings to the social distance months is discovering nearby preserves and trails to walk. This was near a memorial for a community leader who brought about some of these preserves we enjoy..
