Back again to dancing.
I was over in Bishops Stortford doing lindyhop. Just the basic 6 count. Nice and easy, especially as I sort of know it.
I did end up helping to guide the newbies through it in the second half.
I also managed to have a call with friend. That's always nice to do when we get the chance.

From a year ago at Quidi Vidi Lake. I particularly enjoyed photographing some of the many species of Gull that frequent Quidi Vidi Lake in winter. This is "Buddy' the Black-backed Gull that has overwintered at Quidi Vidi for the past several years. He has endeared himself to many local birders.

Missed shot! Myrmarachne sp. (ant mimicry). This genus of jumping spiders imitate ants in behavior and movements. Photos of the back in the comments.
This is a white-backed vuture which was amongst a group of three different vulture species perched high in a dead tree during a morning sighting in the Khwai Concession of the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
The holidays are over and January means back to the office. Sigh...

This is actually a mid-calf skirt suit but the above the knee skirt looks sooooo much sexier. So, I actually have the skirt way up around my breast. I'm so glad it is not noticeable. Thanks to my wife for the loaner on the lovely white blouse.

Some of you noticed that my pictures were gone from FlickR for about a week. My account was suspended due to the "risque" content that I have shared over of the years. That kind of material is no longer allowed on free accounts. So after cleaning house and removing about two thirds of the things I have shared over the years I am now back in good standing.
That's the bad news. The good news is that I have a lot more available space to share new things with all of my friends and fans!
I bought this sweater from Venus a few years ago and I absolutely love it! Brown usually isn't a color that I would choose to wear, but this looks magnificent on me I think. I love the open shoulders and the big turtleneck is definitely an added bonus. Plus when I wear it with these jeans and boots it all just looks so wonderful together.

Australians are famous for being a laid back group of people. Not to be confused with Ron Muecks famous sculpture Dead Dad which was the launcing pad for his recognition as a sculpture.
Dead dad was a hyper-realistic sculpture of Mueck’s dead father, naked, lying on the floor. This extraordinary work had huge emotional power, and many visitors remembered it well.
Dead Dad is a silicone and mixed media sculpture of the corpse of Mueck's father reduced to about two thirds of its natural scale. It is the only work of Mueck's that uses his own hair for the finished product.
It was almost impossible to get a shot of this without people walking in the background, and I was almost lying on the floor for at least 5 minutes before I gave up, and made them go away electronically.

the large plant at the back left is euonyumus fortunie emerald and gold in front of that is potentilla fruticosa summer sorbet to the left of that is Achilles two clumps of chives front and back of the pond in front of the ponds is Helianthemum golden Queen also known as a Rock rose also is echinacea sensation pink added along the back edge of the pond is some ajuga variegated and a purple leaved ajuga they is also a lavender in front of the pond in the pot is an acer in front of that is a hellebore in front of that is teasel
