6x6 Bull Elk making its way across the flats of Grand Teton National Park. I could only watch his backside as he kept moving towards the river until he stopped for a second to look back to see that he wasn't being followed.

I managed to get a bargain Fuji macro lens during the Black Friday event in 2019, but have only just had a chance to use it. So i thought i'd start with some handheld shots first of an old typewriter, "The Good Companion", before moving on to some focus stacking.

Taking a back seat for a while to evaluate a few things and my social media presence.
doesn't mean i will disappear just be a little less active. not really sure what i want to achieve with this account as i think like me it has become detached from the community, so maybe that is just natural progression, onwards and upwards as they say. then a beating by the branches i used to climb to the top on my tumble back down.
It might just have something to do with the world we live in at the moment since the joy of the simplest things has been ripped from us.

Finally managed to get the car recovered to my work.
So this is the outfit from Sunday without the hat I had planned to not wear one for a while had the weather been better. I am thankful i decided on the cardigan as that cam in handy while talking to a bunch of lost German mountain troops camped up track a little. I say lost because this part of the world has no mountains doesn't really even have hills. anyway while talking about how the poncho tent was put together the heavens opened, not good,
Had a funny photo taken here , i was chatting to the officer who showing his rifle to some of us, after the kids had handled it I was next up. shouldering the weapon and leaning into it I to aim at some imaginary targets. it was just then i noticed a guy with a nice camera taking a photo of me doing so.
What on earth that looked I can only imagine.
