Staple Street, TriBeCa
Manhattan
New York City, September 2015
It is going back in time, 2015 to be precise.
Not that long ago, but long enough to capture this iconic street in TriBeCa before gentrification kicked in.
I took this shot with my first Leica Monochrom camera and to give it a cinematic look I colored it manually. No AI or other 'trick' (now I have my Fujifilm camera to do that for me).
I posted the 'original' in 2015 but realized it wasn't 'there' yet.
Instead of replacing the old one, I decided to post the improved version because I'll never be able to photograph Staple Street again in the same mood.

One of the last nice warm days we will have for a long time.
Taken on a long hike with Charlie to the 'Lost Valley'.
With the flash floods again from this summer, this stream had changed its route again.
If I'd have brought tall boots, I could have walked further downstream....
But...next time!

After bringing a long cut to the BNSF at Choteau, the UP DUDU heads back to Lesperance Street Yard light power, over The Hill, to grab another long cut. They'll take the new cut to 12th Street to interchange with the A&S. Overhead is the MacArthur Bridge that crosses the Mississippi River, over which the A&S train was just beginning to transit.
