Staple Street, TriBeCa
Manhattan
New York City, September 2015
It is going back in time, 2015 to be precise.
Not that long ago, but long enough to capture this iconic street in TriBeCa before gentrification kicked in.
I took this shot with my first Leica Monochrom camera and to give it a cinematic look I colored it manually. No AI or other 'trick' (now I have my Fujifilm camera to do that for me).
I posted the 'original' in 2015 but realized it wasn't 'there' yet.
Instead of replacing the old one, I decided to post the improved version because I'll never be able to photograph Staple Street again in the same mood.

Indeed, I am back to my natural life, as a fully encased latex doll.
Heh, it is kind of forcedly sealed, but I didn't resist, not at all :p
Sisters living in an informal settlement around Banganga tank in Mumbai. I am sure their parents are very proud sending them to a private school!

One of the last nice warm days we will have for a long time.
Taken on a long hike with Charlie to the 'Lost Valley'.
With the flash floods again from this summer, this stream had changed its route again.
If I'd have brought tall boots, I could have walked further downstream....
But...next time!
Recently I uploaded a photo of Australia’s greatest cricket hero’s birthplace at Cootamundra. Back in 1932, a short nine minute featurette on how to play cricket was produced for cinemas and this is shown on this “Sign of Yesteryear” located outside the local picture theatre in Portland, NSW. These signs have all been faithfully recreated by professional sign writers and what a fantastic job they have done, and a Nobel idea for a town, on the down slide to bring tourists back.
Here is the link - go see Australia folks.
Taken a few years ago on a trip to the Northern California coast. That trip was my first sighting of these pretty little birds.
Prairie Line SW1500 number 1002 returns to the historic Anheuser-Busch brewery in St. Louis to spot another load of corn for Budweiser production.
Up at Back Tor on Derwent Edge yesterday afternoon, and the usual focal points and compositions fell by the wayside as the snow drifts were far more visually appealing.
ACB4405 & ACB4401 back in action and back where they along in WA! seen on 5049 loaded MRL ore from Mt Walton seen here at Wattleup. These units plus ACB4401 were recently transferred back from Hunter Valley NSW to WA to come back on real trains to help out due to shortage of locos
After bringing a long cut to the BNSF at Choteau, the UP DUDU heads back to Lesperance Street Yard light power, over The Hill, to grab another long cut. They'll take the new cut to 12th Street to interchange with the A&S. Overhead is the MacArthur Bridge that crosses the Mississippi River, over which the A&S train was just beginning to transit. St Louis, MO.
Linus is back home after his day at the vet. He is okay, not as angry with me as I had expected, but very clingy with respect to Fynn. Fynn is surprisingly patient but clearly hopes that this episode will be over soon. Tomorrow afternoon Linus will have to see the vet again for a check-up. Originally they had planned to remove one of his teeth but later came to the conclusion that it would be sufficient to treat the surrounding gingiva and to do some dental scaling. Tomorrow they want to have a look at the gingiva again.
Photographing Bakersfield and its surrounding, this image is prove that there is beauty everywhere. You just need to open your eyes and mind to it.
A back street view of the windmill at Cley Next The Sea in Norfolk. When I found this small path that led behind the windmill and saw this little boat I instantly knew this would make an interesting composition. Took a long time to edit it as the split toning was difficult to get where I wanted it as the day I shot this the light was dull but Im happy with the result and very pleased with the composition.
Norfolk Southern SD70ACe 1166 and a Dash 9 slowly pulled out of the coal yard and headed back west for more coal shortly after daybreak.
Crossing Boston Street in the Canton area of Baltimore, the slow-moving coal train really backed up traffic, much to my amusement.
SOOC!! O, of course besides the signature and framing!! Love to take manual shots, lately I went back to it and I am glad I did!!!

Sega 007 James Bond GoldenEye Pinball Machine
Goldeneye was Sega's first pinball effort in 1996. The theme is licensed from the James Bond movie Goldeneye, the first which features Pierce Brosnan as 007.
The major toy in this game is a rotating Satellite with a magnet in its center capable of catching and holding a pinball. The player can load the Satellite via a Pop-Up Ramp which rises up from the playfield. The machine also has a Ball Saver, which consists of a magnet system which catches and flings the ball away from the outhole and back into play.
