Found this slide when I was filing my films in the weekend. I think this was a collaboration of Mr. V and Mr. H. :D
This is a back burn operation in the Hawkesbury, NSW, Australia. We are approaching spring and summer with little significant rainfall and a fuel load that could be disastrous. I saw the potential for some late afternoon photography and took my chances.
This particular image is an 8 shot vertical HDR pano that I have edited in LR & PS.
Elizabeth has been happy to be back home with her daughter Tulley, for whom she purchased a wooden toy duck while in Munich, Germany. Also in the photo are Tulley's playmates, Kyle and Bonnie (children of friends "Booley" and Maddy). Where are their parents? Off enjoying their freedom from parenting now that "Aunt Stick" is back in town. ;)
Taken while on a photowalk a couple weeks ago. This was in an alley...back of a building in Grand Rapids.

Black headed gulls are notorious for their scavenging behavior and will often steal food from other birds or even humans. They are particularly adept at swooping in and snatching food right out of people's hands or stealing food left unattended. Their boldness and agility make them successful opportunistic feeders in various environments.

Some great lightning bolts here but a bit of a boring silhouette of a Frangipani tree in the garden to go with it.

161s looking back into the Cuillin mountain range from the same point as my previous Elgol shot. The colors in the previous shot were far stronger but looking away from the setting sun there was still a beautiful gloaming light across the mountains. It was such a beautiful walk back over the snow with the dying embers of light all around.... that kind of cold outside but warm inside feeling :o)

The better your summer has been the more difficult and heavier your bag feels. And this year has been specially hard for me to say bye, it has been an amazing summer, my best one so far. This year is not just another "back to school", I started I new chapter of my life as a university student here, in the UK.

Thought this was a good one to come back with. Still have a quite a bit of summer left, and quite a few shots too.
