The camera came back from the repair shop last night. The 300mm is still in the shop with no estimate on when it will return.
Without my favorite lens I thought I would pull out my second favor lens (the 100mm macro) for some test shots.
CPKC 132 back up towards Lachine IMS Yard with a heritage leader. CP 7015 recently reentered service after being damaged in an engine fire incident.
After a horn theft the night following Port Harbor 8955's debut as the railroad's "Honoring 1st Responder's" commemorative unit, it was tucked away in the PHR's Granite City, IL engine house for its own protection. This week, the unique unit was back at work, sporting a new horn reportedly from a Canadian National GE locomotive.
Thanks go to EB for positioning her for an impromptu photo session before proceeding with the day's work: spotting a single tank car.
In flight. White storks fly with their necks outstretched.
Migrating white storks use the uplift of air thermals to reduce the effort of long-distance flying.
After 15 days driving to other stunning places in Norway, we're back in beautiful Stryn where we spent the first days of our vacation.
Now we stay at the hotel right behind this old charming shop. This is from last year, since today has been rainy. But the forecast luckily shows that we will have nice and still weather tomorrow 😀

Early in the morning, the rising sun envelops the awakening of the day in its golden light - back in the port of Hamburg.
Früh am Morgen, die aufgehende Sonne hüllt das Erwachen des Tages in ihr goldenes Licht - zurück im Hamburger Hafen.
Nearing dusk on the way back to my daughters after capturing a rather brilliant sunset in the south of Royston I couldn’t help but take one more photo.
A red jammer with its top rolled back carries tourists along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, with the mountain of the same name in the background.

Half Term is over and the kids are Back to school...............

Hamburg. In the immediate vicinity of St. Michael's, we can discover a very rare example of timber-framed houses of the 17th century ("Krameramtsstuben"), originally homes for the widows of the merchants' guild. Leica M8, Elmar (collapsible) 50/2.8.
It's so incredible the way things work themselves out
And all emotional once you know what it's all about
We spent six days in Osaka, but it took us several days to visit the Umeda Sky Building and the Kuchu Teien Observatory. It is surprising hard to reach by public transport, so we took our sweet time walking there. But the place itself is worth the walk even if one doesn’t pay for the access to the Observatory. Funny enough, it’s been almost 8 years since I saw this view, this time during the daylight.
We are now going back from our short trip to Makarska. There were beautiful views around :)
Wracamy już z naszej wycieczki do Makarskiej. Wokół zachwycające widoki na pobliskie góry :)
