I can't get enough of nature in Fall.

The sun setting over the jagged shoreline of #FortWilliamsPark and the Portland Head Lighthouse in Maine. Make sure to experience all the natural beauty and Treasures Of Traveling this park has to offer!

On our way back from Vernon, we stopped to admire Kalamalka Lake and the Coldstream Valley off the highway. In my opinion, it's the most stunning lake in the Okanagan, and we have quite a few beautiful ones. Shot with my iPhone.

The crazy weather continues. With such a wet Spring the mosquitos are out in full force. I literally took this photo and a couple more, before rushing back to the car. Tomorrow, I'm buying a case of bug spray.

On day 74, I took a photo of a large barn that used to belong to local judge John Carmichael Haynes in the late 1800s. Today I went back to the same location for a nearby building that is part of that same heritage ranch. This one is in even rougher shape, unfortunately, but thankfully we can still enjoy it and imagine what it might have been like back in the day.

Our brains are always looking for patterns. When I saw this group of rocks in Skaha Lake, my mind thought they looked a bit like a dragon. The long exposure helped by almost adding a flame-like effect in front of its "mouth".

I took a nice Saturday afternoon drive through the hills of the Okanagan. This spot above Cawston offered a beautiful contrast of colors. Namely, the yellow deserty hills, the green wineries down the valley, the dark green mountains, and the patch of burnt vegetation mid-frame.

Peach Cliff is a highly photogenic cliff that rises above Okanagan Falls. I'm told it's a gorgeous hike whose trail head just happens to be located on part of our street. In fact, this mountain acts as a backdrop for our new home. She is beautiful. She stands tall. She shelters, almost looking out for us. She reminds me of the many wonderful women in my life. On International Women's Day, I thank them - and all other women - for the ability to be so beautiful and awe inspiring in countless ways.

The title is a bit tongue in cheek, considering that the S.S. Sicamous is a permanently docked sternwheeler.

This has been the weirdest month, weather wise. I hope summer will bring us much more sunshine, even if it comes at the cost of these dramatic skies. I shot this picture with my iPhone because we were out and about without my camera until late. We went to Kelowna to get a treadmill. I don't have a gym nearby, so this is actually a much more convenient and economical way to go about getting some steps in.

Kenny McLean was a legend in the world of rodeo. He was from Okanagan Falls. When he died in 2002, they erected this statue in his honor at Centennial Park.

One of my favorite spots to stop and see the lake. Tonight, with a hint of pink.

This iconic Penticton statue is called ROMP and depicts three children playing in the water. Due to the recent Okanagan flooding, the water levels in Okanagan Lake are some of the highest they've ever been, increasingly submerging the statue.

The story, as I've heard it, is that a child was walking by with their father and they were concerned that the children depicted in the statue would "drown". So the father spoke to the local marina and received three life jackets for the statue kids.

Now the kids are safe.

I could see a pair of deer eyes watching me as I took this shot. I said aloud, "Quite frankly my deer, I don't give a dam". Then I laughed to myself like a crazy person. Fun times with night photography.

I often find myself on this back road that leads to the local observatory. The whole drive has remarkable landscapes.

#BigBen is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the #PalaceOfWestminster in London and is usually extended to refer to both the clock and the clock tower.

I went out to grab a coffee and was greeted by an incredible sight. An unprecedented amount of foamy fog over Skaha Lake. I didn't have my camera with me, so I capture it with my iPhone. Special thanks to the bird who decided to fly just at the right time. 😊

After work, I went to Kelowna for some errands, so I decided to stop by Knox Mountain to grab a couple of shots from up above. I never regret going up there. The view of the city and Okanagan Lake is fantastic.

I took this shot of the Lions Park's pond in Okanagan Falls just before the rain made me reconsider my life choices. 😂

Green Lake is fairly sheltered between the mountains, so I can always count on the perfect stillness of the water, especially at dusk.

I took a very similar shot during the summer. I wanted to revisit it without all the smoke and in a different season.

Burly boat that can no more float.

Heart-breaking to see brawniest of boats that safely carried souls to their shore, abandoned & sitting silently in the ruins.

Ready for the click with my #camera, I could actually feel the vibes. She was desirous to tell me tales of her incredible life journey, withering scary storms along its path.

When you change the perspective, you change the reality.

I like how the long exposure adds stillness to the water and motion to the clouds. Shot with a 10 stop ND filter and a polarizer.

Living in a valley really makes you appreciate vibrant sunsets. They are not so common over here.

I went back to Green Lake to get a picture that would include more of the lake itself. Oddly enough, today it was quite blue looking. It's one of the first lessons I learned when it comes to nature photography. Don't say, "I'll get that photo tomorrow". It will look different tomorrow. The wildlife you saw, won't be there. The colors will be different. The light will dance on the scene with a different tempo.

stop by to Liang Beach, Ambon, Maluku.

take a break from my job and start taking a photo of this beautiful island ,.

I barely managed to get this photo in before those clouds proved that they weren't bluffing.

This lovely beach at the South of Skaha Lake is named after RCAF Pilot Officer Robert G. Christie, DFM, an Okanagan Falls serviceman who died during World War II.

Canada can no doubt be extremely cold in winter. Its coldness is however matched by its beauty. For those wondering, they put the maple leaf on the flag for a reason. Maple trees are everywhere. The leaf you see in the photo was transported by the wind and froze in place, like a wax seal to certify that this is indeed a Canadian landscape.

The neat arrangement of grapevines has a zen-like quality to it.

Despite a shy start of the season, spring is clearly here. Hills and vineyards have turned green almost overnight. I look forward to revisiting some landscapes as they don their verdant attire.
