MoDOT, IDOT and the county as well as police and contractor representatives reminded drivers to pay attention and slow down in work zones in the 2015 kickoff event for National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week.

August 25 – September 23
by Annie Baker
Directed by Eleanor Holdridge
Featuring Michael Kramer, Susan Lynskey, Adi Stein and MaryBeth Wise
A touching comedy from the Obie Award-winning author of Circle Mirror Transformation. It’s Body Awareness Week at Shirley College, and the non-traditional Vermont family members Phyllis, Joyce and their possibly autistic son Jared are rocked by a visiting photographer and his ‘male gaze.’ As sexuality, identity, role modeling and political-correctness get stirred up, the results are both touching and hilarious.

As far as we are aware, there are four books in the Gaskins series written by Allan Ahlberg, illustrated by Katharine McEwan:
The Man Who Wore All His Clothes
The Children Who Smelled a Rat
We've read them before and recently found three of them again at the library. This photo and the rest we have tagged with the Gaskins are meant to point out what makes us keep coming back for more: a jack-of-all-trades, maps and wayfinding, intertextuality, and ubicomp (or pervasive computing, ambient intelligence, everyware, spimes).
Button Battery Awareness Drop-in event in the House of Commons as part of Child Safety Week. The Drop-in event was organised by Jo Gideon MP, Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent Central

To put it simply, I love nature. This group of images was done to bring awareness to the footprints that humans leave behind in nature...
