Avacado and Mango and Blood Orange Sherbert and Chocolate

This is a photo of the stuffed avacado (toward the back of the plate - that mess in the front is the weird way I mix my rice, beans and lettuce together) at Trudy's in Austin, Texas.

We had the joy of discovering this mouth-watering meal during the SXSW music festival when Sons of William and Marc Broussard were playing in 2007. We loved it so much that some of us went back the next day for lunch and another round!

I highly recommend if you are ever in Austin, TX that you hit up Trudy's and enjoy some drinks out on the deck and then order yourself up a stuffed avacado. I don't even like avacado and I loved this! They also have some martini/margarita thing that will knock you so hard on your ass that no one is allowed to order more then two. I didn't try it because I don't drink tequila, but apparently it's a big hit. We loved the meal so much we had to take a cell phone pic to send to our friends who'd already left so they would be jealous. :)

Yum, avocado toast. I think of my mom whenever I eat avocado toast. At the end of her life when it was hard to get her to eat anything, she'd always eat avocado toast. She loved that. Today I had a perfectly ripened avocado and the best whole grain bread from TJs. The best. I also like avocado toast made with BWI garlic toast. That puts it over the top.

for my concentration portfolio. feedback would be much appreciated.

veggie roll and avacado roll

So it has been a long time. When I was living in Pilsen there was a night I went to my parents house and there was this little plant growing. Asked my mom what it was and she said my sister took an old avacado and stuck it in a pot after it went bad. Anyway, I thought it was nice so she told me to take it home. A year and half later i am waking up early to go to Madison for a bike swap meet on a Saturday morning and the street light out on califonia is casting this shadow onto the door in the bedroom. So quiet, so peaceful and even though it is freezing outside, it felt really warm.
