There was an avacado tree right near us! Volunteers were asked for to dig a temporary composting toilet for us to use. When that didn't go so well, they were given this tool for picking avocados, and some house members dug the toilet.
as a result, our meals at Polestar always included some sliced avocado. :)
Day 284 - With an excess of avacados we used it to make tasty tuna fish sandwiches with no mayo. I have never been a fan of mayo, to me it is just excess fat that no one needs, also a really bad for people on a diet, specially if they are on a diet and need to get the low fat mayo. FYI the low fat mayo is really really bad, full of chemicals to get the same texture of real mayo.
Anyways the avacado give a smooth creamy texture and allow the tuna not to be dry, mmmmmmm tasty.
Not much to report today, just looking at trying to get a piano so wifey can get back into the groove, currently the front runner is a casio electric piano, she tried it at futureshop today. She very so much enjoyed it over the yamaha across from it, it has weight keys so it mimics the effect of playing on a grand piano.
We hit up a few more miscellaneous stores while we were at south common, since we were so far south to begin with. Ending on superstore to pick up a few items, as we heard it is going to be super cold starting tomorrow. Time to hunker down!
I got to come home for lunch for the first 5 weeks for school because we didnt have tutorials (earthquake shiz) so I got to make delicious lunches like this. Avacado, ham and tomato, on rye bread. Hnng.

This is the pit of an avacado. The sharp line in the upper right hand corner is where the knife bit into the core as I was cutting it in half. I was curious to see what the avacado pit would look like without the skin on it. Originally it was all white and over a short period of time any part that had been scraped or bumped or cut turned a deep red like it was bleeding. The light red is where I dropped it on the floor before setting it down gently for photographing.
This was a great Sub-24 Hour overnight ride from up to Green (JoeBall) Mountain on the Olympic Peninsula.
A bunch of us met at the ferry docks in Seattle, enjoyed the trip to Bremerton, where we then rode up into the hills to enjoy good times around a fire, camp, and then ride back home the next morning.
