INFORMATION ON THE AVACADO
The avocado (Persea americana) is a tree native to Mexico and Central America, classified in the flowering plant family Lauraceae. The name "avocado" also refers to the fruit of the tree with an egg-shaped pit. The tree grows to 20 metres (65 ft), with alternately arranged, leaves, 12–25 centimetres long. The pear-shaped fruit is botanically a drupe, from 7 to 20 centimetres long, weighs between 100 and 1000 grams, and has a large central seed, 5 - 6.4 centimeters long.
An average avocado tree produces about 120 avocados annually. Commercial orchards produce an average of 7 tonnes per hectare each year, with some orchards achieving 20 tonnes per hectare.[2] Biennial bearing can be a problem, with heavy crops in one year being followed by poor yields the next. The fruit is sometimes called an avocado pear or alligator pear, due to its shape and rough green skin.
The avocado tree does not tolerate freezing temperatures, and can be grown only in subtropical or tropical climates. The subtropical species needs a climate without frost and little wind. When mild frost does occur, the fruit drops from the tree, reducing the yield, although the cultivar Hass can tolerate temperatures down to −1°C.
The avocado was introduced to the U.S. state of California in the 19th century, and has become an extremely successful cash crop. Ninety-five percent of United States avocado production is located in California, and 80% occurs in San Diego County.
While dozens of cultivars are grown in California, Hass (commonly misspelled "Haas") is most common, accounting for more than 80% of the crop. Hass avocado fruits have a dark, rippled skin and rich, creamy flesh. All Hass avocado trees are related to a single "mother tree" that was bought as a seedling by a mail carrier named Rudolph Hass. He bought the seedling from A.R. Rideout of Whittier, California, in 1926. Hass planted the seedling in his front yard in La Habra Heights, California, and patented the tree in 1935. All Hass avocados can be traced back to grafts made from that tree. The "mother tree" died of root rot in 2002.

Stuffed Jalapenos, Stuffed Green Peppers, Stuffed Avacado. I marinated chicken and I sauteed mushrooms and onions and garlic and gourmet italian sausage stuffed with artichokes and mozzarella and garlic and made a safron and curry rice to go in the peppers. It was out of this world !!! The idea for stuffed Jalapenos came from Miss Racheal: www.flickr.com/photos/mrsfield/2641492002/
Thanks !!
This is another I made for uni/mens and it turned out very nicely. I love green but never seem to get around to working with it as much as I'd like. This yarn was nubbly and soft and so easy to work with.
The lime watermellon avacado and the apprles were all part of a photo set the depectied green fruits.
i'm on an elimination diet, doctor's orders, to see if i am allergic to anything. basically, foods must be whole, gluten free, and without chemicals and pesticides to try to combat my thyroid issues. my habit was to partake in the standard american diet of processed foods. however, i'm finding that eating healthy is getting a lot easier.
i discovered i like avacado. in fact, that's an understatement. i LOVE me some avacado. (put a little bragg's amino acid on it and scoop it up with some mary be gone crackers!) i can eat it every day!

I "Remember When" my memory was really good, did'nt need a grocery list. Well things change.
I noticed last week there were several people using grocery list. Now for a quick stop I make a word
from the first letter of each item. Like the list above is "CAME "
Day 304 - Bizarre combination = super tasty. Wifey was up to trying new things today, and she added gaucamole to her pizza today, I am happy to say it was very tasty. But before I get into more pizza talk, the battery on wifeys mac book seems to have died again.
After work today, we headed off to the WEM apple store to get it replaced. For the second time in a little over a year for the same issue with the battery that is essentially bulging out like it was ready to explode. I m gonna say the tech who helped us out was absolutely USELESS. I wish that apple sent me a survey after the service so I can chew the guy out. Every question we asked him essentially ended up with him laughing at the question and really being a jerk about it. So we asked to have the battery replaced, and guess why it was not covered, so it was 110 bucks, we debated if it was better to just get a new mac book, I was ready to dish out the cash, but it seems the guy was unsuper helpful and just slammed the new battery in as we were asking him more and more questions.
Seriously this guy was useless in my mind, and I only wish I could fill in a customer satisfaction survey, anyways that is enough of that, moving on.
Sam Gagner, WTF man, hahaha 8 point night last night against chicago, I missed the last period of the game because I went to floor hockey, damn I wish I did watch it, oh well the highlights were good enough, the best was when he got the last assist to tie the great ones record, everyone went over to celebrate with gagner, the assist, and not with the goal score eberle.
Guess I did not talk about pizza, and I am getting tired of typing, so here it goes, it was super tasty, very good combination, and the combination of flavours worked well.
